Im "told" your able to advance/retard ur timing and control ur air/fuel ratio. I dunno about override because VVT-i will still be engaged throughout the power band, more like having the cams on the highest setting.

why are people trying to keep it a secret?

A'PEXi makes a A/F controller specially designed for the VTEC engine. You are able to control A/F and cam timing at 500 RPM intervals. I'm assuming that this would be a similar product, but for the VVTI.

Here is a description from the A'PEX web site:
A'PEX introduces the first digital fuel computer that combines fuel computer functions with a VTEC engagement controller. The V-AFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. The Fuel Adjustment function considers wide/narrow throttle and low/high camshaft settings, from which four different fuel maps are created (wide-low, wide-high, narrow-low, narrow-high). The integrated VTEC Controller adjusts the point at which the engine switches from the Lo to Hi cam during acceleration, as well as when the engine switches from the Hi to Lo cam during deceleration.

I called my connection at Power Enterprise. The Cam-Con will not be out until June. It is still in development. The unit will contol both the VVTi and the VTEC. It will have timing adjustments at every 500rpms. The one at the show just lit up and looked nice but had nothing inside. I plan on getting one to run with my PE300 supercharger from them.
