Thats all I gotta say. :D hotbox05 01-26-2005, 09:38 AM tein h techs flowmini98 01-26-2005, 02:50 PM how much do each of those lower the vehicle? Sparks_Scion_TRD_Parts 01-26-2005, 03:18 PM im looking to get the most COMFORTABLE ride outta lowering springs...which ones ride best and how much do they lower the Xb? :nails: The more you lower your ride the less likely it will be that you will have a "comfortable" ride. TRD Springs lower the xB about 1" and gives you a 10% stiffer ride. I don't know about the other brands that have been listed here, but you might want to see what the drop is and how much stiffer they are. IMHO. Ken www.trdsparks.com squirrel 01-26-2005, 04:47 PM For a 2.2 inch drop w/ comfort I would go w/ Tanabe DF210s or Goldlines. BUT, if you want to drive aggressively, and have a 2 inch drop, I would go w/ TEINs. superjeer 01-26-2005, 05:36 PM for comfort, h-techs. They lower about 1-1.5 inches but their rate is softer than stock. TheScionicMan 01-26-2005, 08:23 PM I think the GoldLines provide a good balance of ride quality and performance. They're a 2" drop. Sid_xBicious 01-26-2005, 08:32 PM try attending nor-cal meets i'm sure they'll be most happy to let you check the ride. i would but i'm in so-cal. with my tien s-tech, the ride is softer compare to stock, lowers 1.7, 1.5 inches, but changing wheels(series) from 15's to 17's did not help, still rides good for me. SWiSS 01-26-2005, 09:00 PM Its like your favorite position, or your favorite food, or you favorite size subwoofer. Eveyone will tell you what they have is best. JdMBboFSD 01-26-2005, 09:04 PM df-210's ..for me .. CamoBox 01-26-2005, 09:15 PM Tein S-Tech KapitanE 01-26-2005, 11:41 PM Many people have said that changing of springs is not enough. With the car lowered with springs, the damper will be damaged soon, heard about six motnhs before oil start leaking etc. Have anyone here actually fitted lowering springs, but not changed the stock dampers.... how long it lasted before having to change the dampers? Or did you have to change at ALL? flowmini98 01-27-2005, 05:02 AM has anyone ever tried EIBACH..?if so any feedback..? hotbox05 01-27-2005, 06:41 AM Its like your favorite position, or your favorite food, or you favorite size subwoofer. Eveyone will tell you what they have is best. not true , i offer unbiased opinions , i have ____ty ___ ebay coilovers which ride like ____ but i got the look. lol superjeer 01-27-2005, 04:55 PM Htechs spring rate is lower than stock, this means a softer ride. I've had goldlines and h techs. h techs are like butter. They are not good for handling (lots o roll) but provide a smoother (note, I didn't say SMOOTH) ride and are a bit lower than stock (look pretty good). I've had mine lowered for 10 months and 16K miles. No leaks yet, but I'm sure if I'd have stayd at 2" they would be by now :). I have to budget for new shocks/struts soon, I'm sure. Carlanga 01-27-2005, 05:08 PM Goldlines will give you a more comftable ride than stock. Way better! Sid_xBicious 01-27-2005, 05:13 PM Htechs spring rate is lower than stock, this means a softer ride. I haven't experience that yet I guess our stock koni are still okay. its_ikon 01-27-2005, 07:42 PM tein's ride really good on fwy. goldlines are nice, but they are a bumpier ride. i have had both mrscion00 01-27-2005, 08:12 PM hey goldline springs kick butt i have them on my car 2 inch drop very good springs. BangorXB 01-27-2005, 10:28 PM has anyone ever tried EIBACH..?if so any feedback..? i had a set of sportlines on my zx3...i know not a scion, but the ride with them on my focus would make me sick, to bouncy, even being paired with their dampers as well. but it looked really nice being lowered the 2+ inches they actually lowered my car. mike 01-27-2005, 11:23 PM I have had the eibach's, fair drop but the ride was lacking. Next I had the goldlines, perfect drop and ride quality was ok. Now I am on RS*Rs and dam I love the drop and the cornering feels great, PLUS the ride is so comfortable. You lose nothing on the RS*Rs. :D Everyone that has them has no complaints about them and there are available now. :) squirrel 01-28-2005, 10:58 PM has anyone ever tried EIBACH..?if so any feedback..? I had Eibachs on my Matrix and got rid of them as soon as the TEIN S-techs were out. trndmnky 01-28-2005, 11:36 PM I agree with ikonXone. Goldlines have a bumpy ride and mine make a knocking noise every time I hit a bump in the road. I am going to try the Tanabe DF210's soon. |
