I am trying to find out if I should go with coil over springs for my xB, or should I get a pair of the standard lowering springs! The coil over springs let you adjust height of the xB from 0-4 inches! The standard lowering springs only lower and you can’t adjust!

Does anyone know what the best way to go? Let me know what you think and if you have tried the coil over springs.

Thanks!

it really depends on what you mean by "best" since that is subjective.
But it has been asked and answered many times:

somewhere in there is the answer you are looking for, but the general consensus seems to be:

get coilovers if you can afford them, really care about maximum drop, or need to adjust the height for whatever reasons. (good coilovers run about $1k)
get springs if you are poor (or don't want to spend a lot) and you can find one to suit your needs (drop/stiffness). (good springs run about $200)
Ebay coilovers suck and really shouldn't be a consideration (the cheap ones $100 or so) unless all you really care about is adjustability/looks and are willing to sacrifice comfort/handling.

Not to mention safety.

theyre no less safe than rear coilovers , any rear coilover setup whether it be 100 or 1500 will pop out or have the possibility of popping out. i like mine , they get me th looks and performance isnt worse than stock so.... until i get my air bags i'm cool with em , but if you dont feel the "need" for a sever drop go with goldlines or tanabe df210's or if yer more of a sporting type try some weak looking tein s-techs , not much drop but rave reviews

Thanks guys! I think you helped me decide the way I am going to go! I think I will stick with some good old standard drop springs. No coil over springs for me.

Sure the drop would be cool, but the way I drive the coil over springs would fly off in a few days! I don’t need that!

Thanks!
