Its funny when I got mine I thought they sent me the wrong one" thats not what I seen in the picture"It does not even look like that, For one thing its almost flat square chrome tubing, the second thing there are only two mounting points that are vertical not horizontal unlike the type 2. That one in that pick looks to be mounted like the type two. If you were to use the one in that pic it would hang way too low.It allready hangs low enuff and Im running H springs.Sorry I doint have picks, but do a search I am shur youl find one. Its an easy instal but If your gonna do this mod use a rota hammer, those nuts are bizach.

i know the jic 4 point needs to be modified slightly to fit the usdm xb and that it sits waaaay low, a few friends and my boss had one, if your looking for front underbracing i would honesty go with the apr unit, i think retail is around 185 or 190 and its pimp, and as a bonus it comes with a more heavy duty two point to tire up the rear by the exhaust tunnel before the pipe goes up

I originally ordered that one and was sent the wrong one as well. I was sent the type2 and it hangs low, but dammit it feels great through the turns. I corner on a dime. :D

those tabs for mounting points aren't really stoping anything from twisting. As a matter of fact i tried to take my scion through a car wash while using stock tires and there was a piece of wood on the automatic car wash rail as a guide. the guy at the carwash literaly did like 1mph(rolling it foward) to see if it would fit and it didn't. When i got home i wanted to take some measurements to see how much lower the jic was then anything else under the car...and then i learned the jic bent at those tabs hitting the subframe just from the scion rolling forward. If it will do that...its not going to handle 2300lbs in a corner with momentum. its simply not rigid enough of a design let alone how low it hangs.


Also the GTspec underchassis brace require no modifications.

Thats funny, I think I have heard that about the rear strut bar? Can you really tell the difference with or without it?. I have been thinking about getting the rear one. But I was told it would have to be mounted different, rather than on top of the struts. But thats just what I have heard not seen.

lets say its is more effective with it then without it. The truth is everyone wants to have a tube chassis with roll cage. Sometimes we are able to tie things together in a unibody to help stiffen greatly...other times there is compromise because of chassis design. In this case unless you do a one-off and produce a rear strut bar and drill into your shock towers...this is the best your going to get. Shock movement is minimal on these cars. Look at the rubber around the top of the shock. Its their for very minimal movement because the springs and control arms and or trailing arms do most of the movement. If your able to tie the tops of the shocks at least your gaining some regidity. Its not a useless piece.
