Warranty. One is 'imported' whereas the other is 'USA.' The imported one has a limited warranty and the USA one has the Nikon 5-year warranty.

Ever since I got my D80, I've been using my 50mm a lot more. I never could get the manual focus right when I had my D40.

lol that was fast :lol:. What is it, a mid 80's 650? I can't spend money on another vehicle right now, gotta keep saving up for my S2K. By the Spring/Summer I should be in the market for an old 'first' bike. I love the style of that bike too. If I had the money, I would love to get a new Triumph Bonneville.

like i said it's a project bike. Needs a carburetor for sure. Prolly gonna have to replace or fix a few good things but that's gonna be the fun of it.

not sure if it runs cause it doesn't have a carburetor. We literally found it on the street. But any motorhead should be able to fix it right up and use it for a good project bike. Right now i'm just using it for a photo subject. ha ha

ha ha trust me the photos make it look better than it really is. It needs a good bit of work. But once it is fixed it would be a GREAT bike.

How about some smexy 35mm f/1.4 photos? These photos make me regret buying the 50mm 1.8 and are convincing me to save up for the 35mm. I still love my 50mm, especially considering it was only $90 lol.

i wonder if there really is a huge difference between 1.8 and 1.4. I know the 50mm 1.8 is actually sharper than the 1.4 version. But the 1.4 is better built and has smoother bokeh cause it has more aperture blades.

Well if it counts towards how sharp the 1.4 is, those photos were originally uploaded on Photobucket, then re-uploaded on Flickr. Same camera as yours, 5D.

straight up testing to show the difference between the 1.4 and 1.8 50mm. Actually like some of the things the 1.8 did like less barrel distortion.
