Default RCA preamp outs? on Pioneer T1-8180

This is an easy one. I want to install an amp and subs in my 2009 XB.
1. Does the Pioneer T1-8180 have an RCA preamp out on the back of it?

2. Is it worth the trouble taking out the HU to install the RCA cable or should I tap into an existing speaker wire and install one of those adapters (I forgot the name of the device)?

I appreciate the help.

You should tap into the rear left and right speaker leads behind the radio if it does not have RCA outputs on it. I say this instead of a speaker location because it will save time if you ever swap the deck, you'll be glad the RCA wires are already behind the radio. You need a Line-Output converter. Most of them are adjustable. Most retail establishments will charge between $25 and $30 for it. Good luck.

Not sure what the T1-8180 is....are you talking about the base stock HU in 08-09 models? that doesn't have the outputs. The premium HU has outputs, and the navi doesn't.

The T1-8180 is the HU that came with my 2009 XB. I believe it is the base stock HU. I appreciate the answer. Looks like I need to get a line output converter. No problem I put one in my Highlander, it wasn't to difficult.

IIRC its not too hard to take the radio out of the xB. Take 10min an pull it out, look at it, then post your findings so others can benefit from it.
