hey all,
i'm working on a business agreement, and polling different car groups to find out the most popular parts each group would like to see made out of carbon fiber.
go crazy! keep in mind, most all parts in your car can be fabricated out of carbon fiber, and with enough production, the price won't be throught the roof.
cost aside, let's hear it!
interior favorite
exterior favorite
suspension favorite
under-hood favorite

i'll get the xA group started.
some of the parts i intend on making in carbon fiber..
dash. that's a big wish right there....
a/b/c pillars
rear plastic piece in the hatch
center console (around ebrake handle)
underhood.. carbonfiber/aluminum battery tie-down
suspension, i want do to chassis stiffening inside the car using carbon fiber tubes throughout. i intend to experiment with carbon fiber in making a harness bar for front and rear seats (i'm putting one momo in the center in the rear, with 4pt harness.)
Outside ---
The A, B, and C pillars are just screaming for some carbon fiber :P
Also, carbon fiber side mirrors to match~ Maybe in M3 style or JDM with blinkers.
Vented carbon fiber hoods would look much better than stock carbon hoods.
I would definitely get a kenstyle grill in carbon fiber :D

Outside: The non painted part of the side mirrors
The piece over the handle on the hatch.
Rear Scion Emblem
Inside: An insert to replace the USDM ashtray (preferably with a spot for the power point and follows the shape of the center console)
A/C Control knobs
have fun with the wish list

I'd be careful with that. Vacuum molded carbon fiber parts can be very strong in tensile / compression applications (strut bars for example), but applying a shearing force to it could have it shatter if it's not grossly overbuilt (harnesses mounted to a cross-bar for example).
Sorry for the safety interlude.. everything else sounds real sweet though.
