I got 15 inch 8 spoke rims from wheel guy. I stayed 15 cause i am not tring to look agressive/race carish. Is there anything wrong with that? I noticed quite a few crx's that have 15 inch alloys. I'm not trying to look ricey either. Anyone else with 15's?

15's are fine. I agree with all of the above. Who cares what others think. Untill they make your payments, what they think just doesn't matter. Rice is a state of mind!!!

If anything, "rice" refers to nonfunctional modifications. Getting 15s is the perfect functional mod: you don't have to worry about curbs and potholes all the time.

Nope, there are really nice looking 15 inch wheels out there. All that matters is that you are happy with them.
"Rice" is like using a metal ironing board for a rear wing. Or putting v-tech stickers on your Scion. Stuff like that.

Yeah, but if he got 15" X 10" with spinners on gold plated
spokes, I'd kinda call that ghetto rice.

I am happy with the way they look on the car. The stock ones sucked so.....

I only went to 16" because I didn't want to compromise ride quality. I love 'em. If you're happy, that's all that matters.

Hey, mine are staying at 15, at least for the time being. I don't want no mods that will decrease the ride quality or mpg. If $ were not an issue, I'd probably get 16's, but hey.
If you like what you got, keep 'em. The read beauty of any mod, or none at all for that matter, is to make it your own and not do something b/c others say it should be done another way.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does VIP mean in reference
to rims? I understand Euro and Dub, but VIP?

VIP = Very Important People/Person
In rims/cars, it's a very executive look...a la Yakuza.

I swear on my Momma's grave, I was in a parking lot a couple months back and saw a celica with a plywood spoiler. It wasn't even painted! And, had begun to warp :silly:

I had 18x7.5s with 215/35 Toyos on my xB, which were fine for the roads in So Cal. However, the road conditions here in SE Virginia are MUCH worse, and I got a slight pothole dent in one of them. Soooo, now I'm rolling on a set of stock 15" steel wheels with 205/55 Kumhos, with some polished stainless steel baby-moon style full wheel covers on the way. I increased my sidewalls by almost 50% by dropping down to the 18s, and they make for a MUCH nicer ride on the roads around here...

A concept encopasses everything on the vehicle, down to what you hang on the rear view mirror,.... for VIP look, many hang a small white fusa...... VIP rims are mainly deep dish ..... now a days, understand the in look is sort of VIP-Euro mixed...
