Currently an xA owner and went to my dealership for an oil change, there sits a TC RS 5.0, auto. Been looking for a new car for awhile now, should I pull the trigger? Keep in mind, I have only owned 1 auto trans car and kept it for 4 months....

Need your advice fellow TC owners

 

If you don't think you'll like the auto... don't buy it. It's pretty simple.

 

If you like the vehicle enough..

Order one in manual.

I know you are talking about the TC release series, but I saw the Wasabi Green xD yesterday with some Five AD rims on it and it was a complete beauty.

I'm sure there is ONE in the nation that is manual that they could have shipped here.

I know there is one of the release series up in Green Bay, Wisconsin..I have no clue if it's manual though.

Honestly..if I had to choose all over again.
I would buy an automatic.

Driving a manual is a hassle more than anything at times.

 

Just get the auto, its not like its a sport car and matters.

why pay $900 (or whatever it costs) for an automatic trans that you'll hate everyday?

 

Auto tc - An underpowered SUV with half the doors and half the space.

Manual tc - An underpowered sports car, that has potential but needs TLC.


I've owned both. Don't bother with an auto, if you can't do a stick just buy a Prius or something.

just curious, where did you find that rs 5.0? i've wanted one so badly but no dealer around southern cali had it. i ended up buying a new 2010 tc

to answer your question, it all depends on the area you live. for me i get heavy traffic everyday, it would be a HUGE pain to drive manual in that... so i went with the auto.

 

auto puts me to sleep haha but why does everyone bring up traffic? It never bothers me at all to drive manual in serious traffic, not like the tc's clutch has much resistance
