I was wondering if lowering the car "provides added stability in hard cornering and provides a smooth, comfortable ride" as advertised on TRDsparks.com and other sites that sell lowering springs and other parts. Also, what are the drawbacks of lowering the car? I have a 88 celica GTS that is really low, not lowered but thats how they are, and I scrape everywhere, is it the same with tC with the advertised 1.25" lowering? other drawbacks? I am also interested in improving the handling of the car, whats mods would make that possible?
Thanks!

you should probably get sway bars first if u just wanna improve handling for cheap

Pros: less body roll in corners, better look to the car--less fender gap. Although, yes, buy the sway bars first.
Cons: Possible speedbump scrape, and a chance of bottoming out over potholes.

smooth comfortable ride??? that's a joke. Nothing can beat the comfortability of stock suspension. Only handling is improved. You basically sacrifice one for the other. You should try cars tuned for auto-crossing on the road and see how that feels... egh

Hello,
I dont want to lower my car for the above mentioned reasons.. scraping and stuff. For better handling, all I need is a sway bar? Rear or front? How much is it? Any other suspension modifications? Any pics please? Thanks a lot.

i'd suggest coil overs
What are those? Do i need front and rear sway bars and fromt and rear coil overs? Could you tell me how much the sway bars and coil overs cost? Thanks.

trd springs are progressive and don't hurt ride at all and you wont scrape since it doesn't drop it 2"
