If you're serious, would you want to do a dash swap? My gauges are wired thru my dash. If you do, I would do a straight swap including the holder and give you a good deal on the gauges.

Still not sure. I've been looking at the differences between all of them, and I'm leaning towards 05 or 06. I would definitely take an AP2 over an AP1, but honestly, if I can find a Grand Prix White with decent mileage and already has a hardtop, I'm taking it, regardless of the year. The only major things different between the generations is the motor (same HP, slightly diff TQ) and they changed the MAP sensor in 06. Almost everything can be changed...headlights, taillights, bumpers, etc, etc.

i'm the same height, but i'm about 215 pounds, about a 36 inch waist (not really sure, used to be 38, but a good gym regiment has caused me to lose 20 pounds and make all my 38 waist pants fall down without a belt. but i just remember trying to sit in one, and my girth, combined with my size 14 footprint made damn sure that i could never really drive one very well, just way to cramped.

Not sure on an exact price, but everything will be priced to sell quickly. I have all the stock parts to get the car running again, so I will probably be willing to ship the turbo kit. The only thing I'm missing is the mid-pipe/axle-back, which isn't a big deal because I can find them locally. It'll probably be around the $2000 range for the kit and fuel management.

Okay, I had no idea the seats were going to get this much attention. I've received pm's from about 15 different people so far. I haven't come to a set price, but they will be going up for sale sometime in September/October. I was originally planning on getting them re-upholstered black and putting them in my next car, but seeing that the S2K already has awesome seats, I won't be needing to do that. So everyone who has messaged me about them, pay attention to the for sale section in about a month. The seats will not be included in my actual part-out, I'll be putting them up completely seperate, and they will be sold with the brackets and the harness.

I don't think it looks hideous. I kind of like it. I probably wouldn't have gone with that wing but it's not a terrible looking car at all. Besides, he said he's putting it back to OEM, hence the part-out thread. Dealerships do buy cars that are modified in ways that don't affect the reliability. I sold my 2001 F-150 with a custom Flowmaster side-exit exhaust, K&N Intake, Hypertech Programmer, and a Harley Davidson front-end conversion to a used car dealer for a great price. They sold it later that week.

Not sure, but I'm most likely going to lean toward trading for 08's.

Don't like the two in the tunnel, and the only one I like in the second shot is the GPW AP2 in the back.

I've noticed that the S2K crowd is very photo friendly. The majority of the pics I've seen have been taken with DSLRs.

Also, I don't think I'm set on Grand Prix White anymore. I'm really starting to like Formula Red and even Spa Yellow.

I like the white and the ilvere one up front.

I don't like the black/CF (can't tell) hardtop on the white. If it's going to be a white hardtop, it's gotta have the white hardtop, not black.

The Silverstone is nice, but that's the Mugen hardtop, which I don't like lol. Has an indentation going down the middle and the B pillars double as C pillars. I prefer the OEM one. Then theres the Spoon hardtop (middle right) and that one is just bleh.

Yeah I'm staying as far away from the angled, carbonfiber, burnt tip ricer exhaust as possible. I don't think any other exhaust on the market screams ricer as much as a carbon fiber fart can.

The only one that's an option right now is the Magnaflow.

Yeah, the only way someone is spending less than $3,000 for a hardtop is if they find one used, if it comes with the car (what I'm hoping to achieve), or if they get some leaky garbage. S2K + Cheap parts = ultimate failure. This thing was designed for the track, so Honda tried to milk every single ounce of performance out of it, while still making it reliable/legal. That's why the majority of the exhausts on the market yield only +5HP and in only a small range of the power band. More performance is gained from weight loss than actual HP with exhausts for this car, some exhausts will take off almost 50lbs of weight.

finding a hardtop migth be a PITA bro. unless ur lucky to find one local or half the times theres gonna be one but in other states cause thats jus how life is lol

I've already found two. One in New Hampshire and one in Indiana, both yellow. I'm not worried about it. If I can't find one, I can't find out. I only plan on using the hardtop for the winter. After finding out that the softtop fully opens in only 5 seconds, I definitely will want to have the soft top for this time of the year.

After a full decade in production, Honda is killing off the S2000 roadster following the 2009 model year. What a loss.
The S2000 has just about the stiffest and most stable chassis ever put under an open two-seater. And there's never been anything quite like its DOHC 16-valve, VTEC-equipped four-cylinder engine that makes 240 hp despite modest displacement and no forced induction.
While there are 2000-'03 S2000s out there for less money, the S2000 you want is a 2004 model or later. Thanks to a bump in displacement from 2.0 to 2.2 liters (which added some much-needed midrange torque), a few structural reinforcements and some careful suspension tweaks, the 2004 S2000 is a significantly easier car to live with than the earlier version.
Don't take that to mean a 2004 S2000 (http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FirstDrives/articleId=100600) is an easy car to live with. This is the hardest-core machine on this list of hard-core machines. In fact, the S2000 has been called a four-wheeled superbike, which either means it's the car of your dreams or a high-revving, cramped and noisy nightmare. That's for you to decide.
If it were our money: Honda added an electronic throttle to the 2006 S2000 that is ever-so-slightly less responsive than the mechanical throttle in the 2004 and 2005 editions. So we'd go for the best 2004 or 2005 we could find. A hardtop would be a nice bonus.From Inside Line's 10 best used cars under $20k. :D

Due to the fact I put the air suspension kit and I got a lot of crap in the trunk... air tank, compressor, valves , spare tire, and two 10"s in a ported box sitting in my garage. Due to not being able to participate in AutoX this past weekend, I am going to be delaying the partout. I plan on running AutoX on 9/27, and the car will be ran as it sits today. After that, I will start removing things. Partout is looking to be sometime in the beginning of October. I'm aiming to have the car stock and completely operational by 10/18, so anyone looking to buy anything, expect to see for sale threads popping up sometime around then. Since it's going to be a 1-2 day process to remove the turbo, I don't expect to have that off until the second week of October.

So I sat in my friends AP1 this weekend, just to verify that I can still fit (it's been 6 years since I've actually sat in an S2K), and despite everyone saying that I'll never fit...I fit like a fitted glove. 2 clicks forward, not even reclined that much with 1-2" of headroom to spare. I regret sitting in it now, because I went back to the tC and wanted to just drive it off a cliff to speed up this process. Roadster > Coupe.

On a side note. I'll be autoXing the car on 9/27, after that everything comes out. Everyone who has asked for stuff, keep an eye out for my threads. I will post the links here just so everyone that posted here will get an update. As far as pricing, I stand by my 'no-pricing until removal' policy.

Turbo kit will consist of just about everything. Turbo, WG, BOV, piping, FMIC, 550cc inj, PnP harness, AEM F/IC, dump tube, downpipe, oil lines, etc. As it stands, the turbo does not burn oil, does not produce any kind of smoke, etc. It has roughly 9k miles on it and the oil has been changed 4 times. Most likely it will stay local. I also need an oil pan, but I could probably just find one on here for sale or just get a new one.

Seats will be sold as a pair, with Corbeau brackets and 1 4-point Schroth harness.

porsches are awesome. I actually prefer the Cayman S to the Carrera's though. They feel more stable in high speed corners, and fell like they have just as much power in a straight line.

Everything is off exhaust for the manifold/wastegate. Turns out I need a whole new stock manifold. If anyone has one for sale locally PM me, I'll pick it up.

On the plus side, not even a trace of oil in the intake, so the seals on the turbo are still good.

Yea, I just wish I didn't have to dish out all this money to replace crap. Had to put out about $200 for a full stock exhaust so far lol. It won't fit the S2K. The S2K only can take single-DIN radios, unless you do custom fitting, which I refuse to do. I'm putting a new radio in it, but just a cheap one that has iPod connectivity. I just need to hook up my iPod to it so I can listen to XM.

Nope. The S2K radio is just like the tC, but single instead of double. Has a cover and everything. There literally is no room at all to fit a double din in the stock radio location.

Here is the only way to install a double din, which is to use the JDM radio bezel. You have to cut a massive hole in the dash.

I might hold off on the S2K until early next year because Im going to be in the Caribbeann for two weeks in November and might be in the south pacific for the entire month of December. Sweet, I checked the tracking before and didn't see any update so I wasn't sure.

To set the peak, hold down the button until the needle sweeps to the pre-set peak and starts blinking. Then you can either tap the button to move it a tiny tiny bit at a time, or hold it in and it will move quicker. Then once you have it set to where you want it to be, just leave it alone and it will go back to normal gauge mode and the new peak will be set. To check to see your peak (as in the highest you've hit) just tap the button once.

Since tCs have very low oil pressure at idle, I suggest setting the oil gauge somewhere around 4PSI. That way it won't be beeping/blinking at idle.

You can also turn off the audible alarm. Just hold down the button with the ignition off, turn on the ignition and you'll hear it do the start up beep and it will cut it short.

Also, if you don't hook up that over size/over retardedly long red wire to a constant 12V source (just go to the fuse panel, I left the spade on it for you), it won't remember the peak settings.

Seats, brackets and harness are all gone. If I have time tomorrow, I'll make an official list of what I still have. I have a bunch of random odds and ends in my garage that I will definitely be wanting to sell, as I'll have really no need to keep any Scion parts around anymore. I know I have a spare waterfall, an LED-less/needleless cluster, and some other crap that I'll basically sell for near nothing.

Congrats with the WRX purchase by the way. I'm a big fan of them, two of my friends have owned them and I've gotten to do a quite a bit of work with them. They were both the bug eye 02-03 WRX. Unfortunately, I think you still are driving a box of cheerios, they are not the most refined cars and rattle quite a bit. They're better than cheerios though, more like wheaties because they're pretty damn fast! I'm suprised you bought one though Jon, from BBC's Top Gear, they did a comparision on the 2010 WRX and EVO X. The EVO X did circles around the WRX in performance and looks. Regardless of their opinion, I call it a good buy. :icon_smile:

Compared to the tC, the WRX is MUCH more refined. I'd go as far to say that the late 90's Impreza's were more refined than the tC...My friend has an 02 wagon and the only thing that makes noise inside of it, is the seat belt holster. And of course the Evo will do circles around the WRX, it's $10,000 more than it :P. Besides, Mitsubishi's are some of the ____tiest cars on the road, they're up there with Chrysler.

And all they need is a stage 2 Accessport, TBE/cat delete, and they're making 280-300 to the wheels :D.
