Decided to try out green






Was hesitant, but it all went easy with some help from NightWerks. need to add some more coats.

I was almost scared to look at this thread after reading the title, but it looks great! Good job.

 

How did you take the housing apart? What's the rim spec and offset and spacer?

How difficult was it to bake the headlights apart? I've not gotton up the courage to do it.

 

Green is a refreshing change from black.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I was really afraid to do, but just did it. With help from Jason at NightWerks it was too easy, pretty much like the DIY's everywhere. Wanted to try something different. Used dupli-color anodize green.

So far cops have not given me a second look and it doesn't affect the color of my lights (except on the side reflection at night, and orange turn blinkers a bit greener).

 

I dont think this would be considered illegal. Looks just like an overlay. Blue would totally look hot and maybe red too! I may have to try this. Or yellow even! Great idea!!! Dont worry I wont do green but it looks JDMish lol.

 

I'm pretty sure that any coloring (black, red, blue etc.) is illegal to put on the headlights, but enforcement varies with location.

 

That looks AWESOME!! I like that way better than black (and I just did mine black last weekend unfortunately).

As long as your not affecting the light output, it's not illegal.
