View Full Version : Where to tap for A/F gauge? TheRedBox 01-27-2004, 08:47 PM uhmm yeah.. i dont know where the wire is. Please advise. Thanks! kdanie 01-27-2004, 09:54 PM Are you trying to install an aftermarket Air/fuel meter? If so, it is an O2 sensor so you will need to istall another O2 sensor bung, before the cat. ken SoCalbBox 02-11-2004, 03:04 AM Don't waste your time on a narrow band sensor. If you are trying to tune, forget it. If you want pretty lights go for it. AEM does offer a wide band sensor (bosch) and UEGO controller with a display. It reads green, yellow, red AND digital in the middle. The display has a sensor for autodimming as well. I believe you can show voltage as well if you don't want 11-17. sithscripter 02-11-2004, 06:54 AM There are two O2 sensors, an upstream one and a downstream one, so I don't think you'll need to install another one. Unfortunately the factory wiring diagram is a bit ambiguous. scionxb04 02-13-2004, 12:48 AM install the a/f gauge pickup on the o2 before the cat...its is a 4wire heated o2 sensor the last time i got under ther eand looked....so u need to find the 4wires comming out and find the right one to tap to.....kragen or autozone or maybe one of the local toyota techs here could give us a wire diagram of the 02 sensor? then it would be easy 02-13-2004, 04:57 AM daniel, I can install another O2 sensor bung for another O2 sensor. In fact I have a whole other OEM system for sale if you want it. :D DenZinz 02-13-2004, 05:00 AM Are you force inducting your car? Just curious on why you are looking to wire up a a/f meter. MiniHummer 02-13-2004, 05:06 AM I have one in my car, an autometer a/f gauge. I tapped into the first o2 censor of the header. They are four wires but three of them are the same color I beleve grey you will just need to try them out and see which one works. sithscripter 02-13-2004, 05:38 AM I'd like one just for the "Knight Rider" effect. Of course I'd wire a power switch so I could kill it when I got sick of it (like in about two weeks). 02-13-2004, 05:44 AM looks like the red box is up to something in the garage!! Whats up daniel!!?? Got something up your sleeve? Where are you gonna put the gauge? :D TheRedBox 02-13-2004, 04:43 PM 8) I'm not telling. 02-14-2004, 05:41 AM super secret mods!! Can't wait to see. 8) sithscripter 02-29-2004, 04:16 AM *** EDIT *** Whoops, I looked at the wiring info for the *DOWNSTREAM* O2 sensor by mistake. Please ignore whatever I posted earlier ... |
