Does anyone know how to paint your engine cover? What paint should I use? Does anyone have any tips on an easy way to paint it? What about the header heat shield. I have seen some pics of some painted heat shields. Does anyone know about that as well. Thanks for the help

1. clean the valve cover
2. lightly sand the valve cover
3. clean the valve cover again to get all the dust and debris off of it
4. using whatever spray paint you want, add a light coat of paint
5. lightly sand the cover again
6. wash the cover again
7. spray the cover a few more times with very light coats of paint (3x should be enough)
8. lightly sand the cover again after the paint has dried after an hour or two
9. add many light coats of clear.
10. done.
