Looking For a Intake
i have 09 rs5.0 tc for a couple months now and im looking for a good intake to throw on it. Ive been looking everywhere for some advice but im just not getting much feedback. whats a good intake for my tC? ive been looking a weapon r,injen, and aem, are those good brands? and if so i would also like some advice on the install i.e tips or tricks for a easyer install.

and as far as intakes go, its a waste of money 200 plus for sumthing that does next to nothing is a waste, do wat i did i bought a ebay intake (piping filter etc) for my 05 tc and jus change the filter to a good name brand filter like injen/aem etc. i spent 30 bucks for the intake and about 25 for a new faem dryflow filter and it does the same thing as those 200+ intakes
r u serious? the 5.0 is the black release series right? thats so dumb i thought it would atleast come with the intake since u paid so much for it. it came with the suspension stuff too right?
The intake isn't CARB legal and is meant for off-road use only. Scion/Toyota wouldn't put an "illegal" part on a car like that.
As far as intakes go..they all pretty much do the some thing. Just get the one that fits your budget and you think looks the best. That new titanium looking one from weapon-r is kinda cool lookin

They can sell it because they advertise that it is not road legal. I'm pretty sure it still isn't legal. But even so - I remember shopping for an intake and seeing on the Scion site that it said it was only meant for off-road use and such
im not sure on that one, on the window sticker it just says TRD lowering springs..
hey can anyone throw me a link to the weapon-r intake?

yeah well cali sucks jk jk
i agree with rosedale. it's a waste of money. intakes make your car sound ballsy. that's it. buy some flexible piping and rig up a GFI stage one. easy.
get a TRD intake man. it's a bit pricey, but it will complement the TRD theme nicely! sure it's illegal, but you won't have to smog your car for 5 years since it's brand new.
Use the SEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many Intake threads out there to answer this question!
