Hey guys, i just had my motor built and my mechanic isnt able to get it to stay running. He thinks its the tune thats on my ultimate. I have the bc cams so i think they threw things off. Hes trying to give it a street tune but the person who sold me the ems didnt include the cd that comes with it. Any way to downlaod the software w/o it. Any help is greatly appreciated I have an appt. to get tuned so i want to get this figured out. thanx

 

there was a thread a while back of someone with bc cams that wouldn't start. Problem was a pin or something that broke on the cam itself. Let me see if i can pull something up.

 

Found the thread. Broken downpin on the vvt-i cam gear. Another problem with bc cams are the dow(s) on the camshaft that the cam sensor uses to process the cam signal, have to be pushed out to get a reading

Thanks for the info, i read through it and it doesnt seem to be my problem. The car sounds fine it just idles like crap. I really think the cold start tune needs to be tweaked Anyone know how to get that software w/o the disc greddy supplies with the ems? Im desperate

Yeah the money part doesn't matter. Its the I need it today part that's killing me. I guess ill just have it towed and have the tuner figure it out. Because I know he doesn't need it. It would of just been nice to have it running before droping it off. I'm kinda mad that the person who sold it to me didn't include it.
