Shout out to all. New to the site. Thought I'd share my experience.
I bought my XB after totaling my truck. I saw the XB at a car show and loved it. I had planned on paying off my truck, then buying the XB, but the gods did not see it that way. So the truck was totaled this summer and the XB is now mine.
So I'm loving my ride and have just showed it off to relatives in PA. over Thanksgiving. I'm on my way home at 5:30 in the morning cruising at about 75 on the turnpike behind a semi and a sedan. Next thing I know lots of "somethings" are flying at me from behind the semi and other car. My XB gets nailed with "whatever" and I also chunked over stuff on the roadway. I pull over along with the sedan and semi to find out they had just blasted through a herd of deer. Two other cars behind us also had to stop from the damage. The trooper showed up and blocked the road for a while. I looked at my XB and it was covered in blood, hair and guts. The underside was also a mess of hair and guts. After looking the car over, it appeared to be drivable. The semi and I were the only ones to drive away. The trooper advised me of the nearest car wash. I had my car washed several times, scraped the cooked deer off the bottem of my car (smell) , and found just a crack in my bumper and a small piece of the grill missing.
I don't know of any crash tests, but as I see it
XB ~ 1
DEER ~ 0
Jerkey anyone?
