Default EFI fuse blown???

So, Long story short...

i was on my way to work today and my car died on me... Luckily i was really close to home when it happened so i pushed it home... I get home and try to start the car,
It turns over and over and over but wont start.. I checked my Scan Gauge and its not connecting. then hook up another OBD2 Reader and it says no link.
In my head I'm thinking something happen to the ECU or OBD2. I check the fuses and the EFI one is busted. I replace it and the car starts.
ok now to the question

Why did it blow? has this happened to anyone here? what causes this to blow?
ok well three ?'s..

Any input would be really helpful.. and really appreciated...

-Jay

I have had the same problem before and this happened (at least for me) b/c there was a short somewhere. For me the problem was that my head shield from my headers came loose and it was resting on somewhere else instead.

well for that guy it was a loose wire on his header. for me.. it was a loose wire i had for my fuel pump. i taped it instead of insulating it and it touched the chasis and made a short.

Have you installed anything recently ?

last two things were header and plugs. I changed the plugs back when i had this problem initially, seemed to solve it. Now it has reared its rather ugly head again.

I guess its time to check for shorts...

Default Found it. Oxygen Sensor on S Pipe was hitting a bracket under there.

Removed my anti-foulers, taped it up. Seems good to go so far.
