NoLimitzBuilt 09-10-2009, 03:55 AM That is a awesome looking kit.
Rob_DESCENDANT 09-10-2009, 05:05 PM thank you!
GOZ01 09-10-2009, 06:22 PM Wow!!! how well will this do for an auto, if possible?
XD40tC 09-11-2009, 02:45 AM Would prob be the best kit to get for the auto but idk about pipe fitment and if anything has to be relocated. I like the fact that this uses the airbox but Ive gotta wonder how much more performance could be had with a cone filter and MAF adapter instead. Maybe about 15-20 more? Still cool though! If I ever boost I will get this kit fo sho!
Rob_DESCENDANT 09-17-2009, 01:26 AM Wow!!! how well will this do for an auto, if possible?
WORKS AWESOME on both 5 SPEED & AUTO!

rob descendant,,,,,
i would like to know if the scoop would be on both sides like you show on this picture?????????
XD40tC 10-08-2009, 03:10 AM There is no scoop brah. Thats their own design. You just pop out the factory vent to allow air into the bumper where the SMIC is. You can remove the bumper and cut along the upper and lower lines and then bend back the bumper to allow air contact with the full face of the intercooler. But you will have to find some way to keep the pulled back portion of the bumper in place and additional trimming may be required.
pitoxb2 10-08-2009, 11:06 PM yea they make a scoop for that turbo kit already,,,,
Rob_DESCENDANT 10-14-2009, 05:30 AM Sorry, I missed the question! We offer a scoop which is universal and works on both sides of the bumper. I have a couple coming in this week so I'll post pictures of the production units once I have them in hand.

Yes, they both use the 2AZFE Toyota engine package.

Rob_DESCENDANT 12-28-2009, 07:04 AM looks good.. do you have any dyno results?
This was the dyno sheet on my 2008 Scion xB which was 100% BONE STOCK just the DESCENDANT "Bolt-on & Go" at 8psi made 261whp & 268tq thru the OEM Air Inatke Box & Exhaust.

Digon 01-05-2010, 08:57 PM Pretty good results considering a bone stock vehicle. Tons of potential!!
Rob, Im not a big fan of the side-mont intercooler for the xB (sorry). If i would want the option of getting a center intercooler could you guys do that?
Were those dyno results with the stock exhaust?

i 2nd that
idk
side-mount just makes bumper unsymmetrical
not too clean looking
sorry but loving the #'s and new lower price
Mummbles Marketing 01-14-2010, 01:27 PM Im the one that built the gold engine bay one. Descendant products are no joke and the best hands down. Look for the new PAS mag. where you will find the xB on the cover and a 6 page spread.
hollywoodjdub 01-25-2010, 12:11 AM I also am very intrested in bolt on kit ...and don't want to outsource for a center mount intercooler... So would like the option to buy it from descendant ...are you able to order kit with center intercooler? If what would the price diff be ?
Mummbles Marketing 01-25-2010, 02:06 PM The main problem with the center intercooler is space for the plumbing (or intercooler piping). The battery would most likely have to be relocated.
Hello,
The kit looks great. I surfed around on the DESCENDANT web site but I did not see the scoop insers offered as mentioned on here. I love the way they look, even if I don't have the turbo. Are the scoop inserts available seperate from the turbo kit?
Thank you
nava89 01-06-2011, 07:30 PM and for how much?

Are you guys going to update the website to show the option to buy the version 2.0 with the FMIC as well as the descendant exhaust? I'm guessing you can't use fogs with a FMIC?
Does the turbo kit bolt up to the stock exhaust? I'd like to get your kit but I think I wanna keep the stock exhaust to keep the noise to stock decibel levels.

Yes, the DESCENDANT Kit is a direct bolt-on and works perfect with the OEM exhaust. As for purchasing parts online all the DESCENDANT Turbo kits are available at www.WORLD-motorsports.com
Front mount intercooler option for the 2008+ Scion xB is completed and current in our production shop. Here's a couple little spy pictures:

Charock 04-06-2011, 05:28 PM You guys need to come up with some sort of payment plan. You would sell so many more kits to regulars joes like me. Or is there one in place that I don't know about?

CIONIDE 04-07-2011, 07:42 AM It's called a bank or credit union

Charock 04-07-2011, 01:34 PM Ha Ha! actually I do have the credit card just don't feel like plucking back down on it, I just paid it off. I guess I'll either wait till I pay her off or just make sure the next car puts down the power out of the dealership... :icon_juggle:

Charock 04-26-2011, 12:41 PM Dude you guys are the dabomb.com! I'm gonna get this kit at some point but I think I'm gonna trade in my XB for an newer one with low miles. I'm on the east coast so I'll be probably looking to your Reading PA team to handle the task. I wouldn't know who else to trust out here with an install of something so delicate and precise ....
This kit is amazing just had a ride along in the 2011 xb turboed today,
Sh** is crazy fast and was only 7psi, cant wait for next week ^_^
Rob and othere guys at the Torrance shop are really friendly and awesome, cant wait to pick up my baby.

DJ_FroZone 05-13-2011, 04:49 AM question i got a 2010 xb AUTO. have any vids of that? and as trival as it may sound do BOV work with your kit? cause honestly that sound is just amazing to me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxuMZEo7FyU like that 2:00 mark on that scccrrt whhhushshh so good.
Pasquale 05-13-2011, 05:58 AM thats a 2jz motor though. Its alot different from the 2jz-fe.
r2d2michael 05-13-2011, 06:02 AM holy balls that video made me nut myself.....just sayn...
i think it all depends on the waste gate if its internal or external
my kit i believe is the internal waste gate system where it blows off back into the system so no psss! but i dont mind more sleeper
etsnet 05-13-2011, 07:18 PM It is the BOV. As for how it would sound with this kit not sure. I know a had an internal wg and the hks bov on a manny tc and made that sound. Also know someone who had an external wg with the hks bov with auto tc and made that sound just not as nice as the manny tc did.:icon_biggrin:
Ill try do video 2mrow
Hard to do lately cuz been driving by self so no one to film

Yes, it should make a little more power at same boost and spool up 300 to 500 rpm earlier.

Roller_Toaster 10-06-2011, 06:29 PM Will the upgraded turbo come with a different base map on the AEM fic?
EDIT: Nevermind, this question was answered for me. Thanks guys!
Roller_Toaster 12-29-2011, 07:20 AM To run @ 12psi, do you recommend building the block, or can the 2az handle it with proper tuning?
Kareem_Descendant 12-29-2011, 08:28 PM To run @ 12psi, do you recommend building the block, or can the 2az handle it with proper tuning?
We tell people that 2az will handle 340 to 350 Hp with proper tuning. Also the with the turbo upgrade base will be the same.
