What's your age? Where do you fall in this poll? I want to see if this "catering to younger drivers" thing Scion came up with, to sell their cars, is working. I know of a few of us "older" guys on here :)

View Full Version : xD owners age roll call...... RoadKing 09-09-2009, 10:14 PM What's your age? Where do you fall in this poll? I want to see if this "catering to younger drivers" thing Scion came up with, to sell their cars, is working. I know of a few of us "older" guys on here :) RoadKing 09-10-2009, 01:42 AM Damn it, I meant to put 16-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50+ Can't edit the thing now................. xD_kidd91 09-10-2009, 02:05 AM 18 and its gonna be 1 yr on the 26th:icon_biggrin: Zefoxe 09-10-2009, 02:38 AM might be a lil bias on this forum tho. most xD drivers i see are middle to older aged women and i dont think a majority of them would be logging on here:P xD_kidd91 09-10-2009, 02:49 AM thats actually true.. but I kinda dont mind at all. not many xd tuners out so mines somewhat unique atleast for now lol. uskrewed 09-10-2009, 04:34 AM Ya, I see a lot of middle aged women with the car as well. Sort of weird how every car except the tC is pretty attractive to a mature crowd, I guess they just see the value in these cars. I'm 23, married, 2 kids. Only mods are minor ones for looks. Hey, watch it, I'm no middle aged woman :) I rarely ever see another xD, period. Lots of xB's and TC's. 23 and 2 kids, I was there once.... Then a year later I had 3 kids! Now, I have one left in high school and two in college. Yeehaw, freedom is near. I feel pretty young, until I come onto this forum and see most are late teens/early twenties; then I feel old :( xD_kidd91 09-10-2009, 04:31 PM actually yea I only seen 2-3 other xd's around here. mostly mid age people. most chicks drive tc's :rolling: RoadKing 09-11-2009, 12:49 AM actually yea I only seen 2-3 other xd's around here. mostly mid age people. most chicks drive tc's :rolling: It's a new era my friend..... Chicks, as you call em, drive everything these days. I drive a freakin Scion and my wife drives a 4X4 FJ Cruiser. How'd that happen???? ScionXD01 09-11-2009, 01:04 AM Hardly see any XD on the road. So few, I can remember everytime I see one, including noted the gender and how old the person is. So far, I can count 3. When I was at the dealer, another guy buying XD is over 50. Last week, drove past a XD, driven by a woman in her 40-50s. Just today, an XD driven by a man with full set of white hair. But yeah, a ton of XB and XC on the road, mostly driven by younger people. But NOT the case with XD. lostxD 09-11-2009, 03:03 AM ^ "tc" wonder what the 30-40 age group drives... luxury vehicles? suvs? lostxD 09-11-2009, 03:06 AM It's a new era my friend..... Chicks, as you call em, drive everything these days. I drive a freakin Scion and my wife drives a 4X4 FJ Cruiser. How'd that happen???? yes, i can't help but notice a lot of ladies driving huge suv's xD_kidd91 09-11-2009, 03:29 AM not trying to stereotype this but maybe they are tired from minivans :rolling: If I had a fj cruiser. it would be half covered in mud right now =] lol RoadKing 09-11-2009, 03:37 AM not trying to stereotype this but maybe they are tired from minivans :rolling: If I had a fj cruiser. it would be half covered in mud right now =] lol Well, my wife went from a Z-28 Camaro to a Sequoia to her FJ. Once she drove her Sequoia she said she'd never go back to a car. She likes the feeling of sitting up where people can see her. Given all the idiots on the road, I don't blame her. I have 3 kids and a mini-van never entered my mind. Sefi 09-11-2009, 04:11 PM 30 yr old female with an xD here! Better not be calling me a mature woman. I'm anything but. :p I've seen a few xD's around here driven by a variety of people, old/young, male/female. And I swear everywhere I turn I see tC's. A few more xB's (mostly first gen) than xD's. I pass a house with BRM xD parked in the driveway every day on the way to work. Never seen it on the road tho. Its missing a hubcap so fairly distinctive. JJGeneral1 09-12-2009, 09:06 PM 25... 26 in 1 week male here. had my car 1 year as of the 4th of sept. xD_kidd91 09-13-2009, 03:53 AM my car is turning one on the 25th :) Sefi 09-13-2009, 04:34 PM My xD will turn 1 on the 25th also. Wonder if we got twins separated at birth? YELOSUB 09-13-2009, 09:02 PM I'm one of the older ones I guess...40-50 range and on my 2nd Scion...And jon I believe you can edit it I think...I know you can edit the title's so you might be able to edit the poll's...This new forum takes getting used to...You need to go to "edit" and then from there click "go advanced"... xD_kidd91 09-14-2009, 12:54 AM My xD will turn 1 on the 25th also. Wonder if we got twins separated at birth? maybe :icon_biggrin: haha Khans 09-15-2009, 02:41 PM In in the younger spectrum. 20-30 group. Woot! You guys see middle-aged women? Holy crap, I see 70-year old men driving xD's ALLLLLL the time! I've only seen a handful of mid-aged women. I personally thing the xB2 is hitting the middle-aged crowd more so than any of the Scion models so far. pauldubster 09-15-2009, 07:06 PM This is really not an xD owner poll, but a poll of who uses the forum. Since this forum is mostly about appearance discussion, it's a lot more popular with the younger crowd than it is with the older crowd. xD_kidd91 09-16-2009, 12:22 AM party pooper silvermolotov 09-17-2009, 12:13 AM Hey Im 20 soon to be 21 and I drive my xD. nameless_ak 09-17-2009, 06:02 AM I'm 19 and this is my 3rd scion. I dont think I would go back to scion if I were to sell it w/o any real reason.(unless they come out with a new kickass model). Prolly try something new. But would most likely be in the family (toyota or lexus). If not then my first car. volvo s60t5 :icon_mrgreen:. I miss it :frown: Easyoboe2 09-18-2009, 05:29 PM I bought an xB in 2005 when I was 74 years old. In 2008 I bought xD at age 77. I like my xD fine, but I wish I still had my xD. It was an unusual car off the dealer lot and I did some things to make it a little more distinctive. I replaced all the Scion names and logos with three-pointed star emblems from Mercedes, including on the grill and hub caps, and I had chrome "Kompressor" letters on the back hatch. Mag wheels, of course. It was fun. I had a few Mercedes drivers toot at me thinking I was some new kind of MB. xD_kidd91 09-18-2009, 07:41 PM I bought an xB in 2005 when I was 74 years old. LOVN GRN! CXTKRS1 09-26-2009, 04:17 AM 23 here Bender_xD 10-01-2009, 07:28 PM 28 Here w/ an xD thats about a year and two months old. LOVE IT!! Have noticed an abundance of xD drivers here in B-lo 35-40+, and i'd say a 50/50 mix men and women. I have also noticed and a substantial number of hot chicks rockin tC's as well. Just kinda sticks in yer mind ya know? Speaking of stereotyping cars...I remember when the pontiac sunfire was huge with young girls. It was like they standard issued every female age 18-26 a pontiac sunfire on their birthday from 1995 to 2003. They were EVERYWHERE and EVERY girl i knew had one. cbmikey 10-07-2009, 05:35 PM Just turned 35 last week. Bought my 2008 xD under Cash for Clunkers. Traded in my 1991 Caprice and got much better gas mileage! Here in Little Detroit (Toledo, OH) this is still very much a union town and I get lots of nasty looks for not driving a UAW-made car but I don't care. Though I do get some thumbs up and have had a few people stop me and ask what I'm driving. I've seen very few other Scions on the road and I usually get a nod or a wave when I do! xD_kidd91 10-07-2009, 06:16 PM Just turned 35 last week. Bought my 2008 xD under Cash for Clunkers. I like 30% of them. If they gave me a discount I would support them lol anyways enjoy ur car dude lol JJGeneral1 10-09-2009, 02:28 AM i had a road closed the other day (as a firefighter with emergency lights) and this drunk dude come up to me and said "what kind of car is it?" i thought he meant the wrecked car, so i said "i don't know sir, i didn't make it to the scene". he goes "you don't know what kind of car you drive?" i'm like "oh my car, it's a scion sir". he goes "what the f is a scion?" i said "and xD sir." "what the f is that? it's so f-ing tiny". i told him "sir, i'm going to have to ask you to move along before i report you to the state police who are 200 ft down the road. i cannot be distracted during my duties."... he stumbled off.... thank god. xD_kidd91 10-09-2009, 02:47 AM i had a road closed the other day (as a firefighter with emergency lights) and this drunk dude come up to me and said "what kind of car is it?" i thought he meant the wrecked car, so i said "i don't know sir, i didn't make it to the scene". he goes "you don't know what kind of car you drive?" i'm like "oh my car, it's a scion sir". he goes "what the f is a scion?" i said "and xD sir." But since you were on duty thats a diff. story lol yeah, was interesting.... my little car lights up with all the LED's now. but i'm changing my emergency lighting around. i'm going to sell the roof light, get a dash light, put flashers in the side mirror turn signals (that'll rock like the cops) and flashers in the back. that's in addition to the four corner strobe (hide-away) kit i have.... |
