just bought 8 of 'em at a $buck.90 a piece

seems a little steep for being a composit gasket washer couldn't a reguler drain plug washer work or a nylon one???

Lol~ just ask the parts guy if he has a spare one lying around. 90% of the time he'll give one to you for free :P

The drain plug has a washer that should be replaced every time you change your oil to prevent leaks! If you didn't see it, it probably was stuck to the oil pan when you took off the plug :P

do you actually have to replace it everytime you change your oil?

ive never had a leak in any of my cars and ive never used a new gasket. But.....it wouldnt hurt to give it a new one. Ditto @ cloudnine just ask a mechanic or something
