hi guys. im getting the fujita intake delivered today and im gunna install it. however on all the diy it says to remove the front left tire and liner. but as im looking at what would be the easiest im figuring i can access everything just by removing the front bumper. can i get away with this. cant i just remove the front bumper and turn the wheels to the left, shouldnt that give me enought room?

also how long should it take? im familiar with removing my bumber and all as ive done it before im seeing it only taking an hour maybe hour and a half? but im reading its taking some people 3 hours plus! how is this?

in a word, yes. personally I didn't even remove the bumper, i just removed one of the panels on the inside of the wheel. going that route will scratch up that part of the intake, but the process takes under an hour either way.

Ya I just unbolted the bolts in the fender liner and took off the front bumper. It was a fairly easy install. Idk bout yours but it his the metal around the hole that goes through the fender and vibrates. So maybe get a rubber grommit or something of the sort. But as long as you can read directions and turn a wrench you should be ok.

alright thanks guys. yeah i was reading some people having problems and saying it took three hours, and im here looking at it like"it took you three hours to install a metal tube....jeeesh"

and look about midway down the page, the cai panel isn't expensive and it solved the problem with the intake hitting against the fender panel.

going through the lining is probably easier if you havent taken the bumper off before. if you have then yeah you know what to do haha

yeah ive taken the bumper off before. i dont know why people complain about it, its what, 8 screws. what a bunch of babies.

I also left the bumper on and went through the fender liner. Took wheel/tire off of course. You'll love your Fujita :icon_smile:

Definitely get the panel from Dr. I for the midpipe that rubs on the inner fender panel. I got one after I noticed a hole starting to form in my intake pipe. Not sure if it would go all the way through or not, but I didn't wanna wait around to find out.

If someone takes 3 hours to install an intake they shouldn't be working around a car honestly..the instructions are so straight forward even someone very inexperienced could easily do it in half that.

Why would you want to remove the whole front bumper if you can get away with just the fender liner? that's all you need to do.

If this is your first car project I could see it taking 3 hours. I'm pretty sure my CAI install lasted at least 2 hours. Pulled the bumper but didn't take the driver's front wheel off (which would have helped tremendously). It's in house doable with hand tools though so just go for it.

just remove the bumper jack it up and take off the left tire bro. . just did mine easiest way
