what are some small things that i could do to the Xb to just get a little extra power? Not like CAI or exhaust or anything but more along the lines of spark plugs, wires, and stuff like that.

you dont need extra power ,just cruise and enjoy,dont push this car to go fast ,it won't and you will do more harm than good. :no:

If you were to take the spark plugs & wires out of a Chevy small block (along with the rest of the engine) it would bring up your hp considerably.

other than doing exhaust & intake and stuff tehres not a whole lot you can do.. maybe a K&N filter. they claim a few horses. .. not to mention its a better filter... . maybe some bosch +4 spark plugs? if they even make those for our cars...

What have all you people been driving to think that the xB is SOOOO underpowered?! The xB w/MT has more pep than a Suzuki Samurai, Ford Escort w/AT, and on par with a Hyundai Elantra with MT.

hmm well i drove a mkIII non turbo supra that ran 14.9 so , and an ol bimmer that only ran 17.0 but it seemed alot faster than the box , i unno , lol i didnt keep my box stock for long , it's 16.0 now so... not shabby awaiting a motor swap

im not trying to put it on the track or anything but just a little bit more get up and go.

header , intake , exhaust.

thats about it i guess before you start going inside the block
