Went to Pep Boys today to pick up some blue color lighted headrest posts..2 to a pack...well, they had the "red" for $8.00...the Blue's were $ 19.99 !!! :eyebrow: Same identical pieces, execpt blue vs red....Figured it was an overprice mistake...went to the cashier with both red and blue packs. I asked her what was the price on the reds, she said $8.00..SO I give her the two blue packs, and she rings up $ 40.00 !!..I said whoa girl, I thought you said these were $ 8.00 a pack!..SHe gets the manager who tells me that the "reds" were being discontinued and the real price were $19.99 ! well, needless to say, I walked out empty handed!

Blue's a lot more popular, so they can charge more for it.

Blue LED's are more expensive (at least they were not to long ago) then red.

I don't know how much more, now, but last year my roommate was building a custom computer. Red/yellow LED's were a few cents each, blue and hyper white LED's were $2+ each.

There's a huge demand for blue... Supply and demand, you do the math.
