I love my manual but now not so much since I'm starting to have knee problems. I love the car but would prefer it in an automatic.

Anyone got any insight to how this might go down?

 

Well first of all you are on the wrong thread if you want to trade for a xB. (this is the xD thread) If you are wanting to trade for a auto xD you are probably going to have to shell out at least $4,000 depending on the condition of your 04 xB. I would suggest craigslist, put WTT (Want to trade) also try putting it on the classifieds here on scion life. I personally wish my xD was a manual; But I don't think I want to trade for an 04 xB, it would have to be a VERY nice xB and you would have to be willing to add 8-9 thousand dollars on top of the car for my RS1.0 plus all its goodies.

You would need to buy the auto tranny, auto ecu and harness, console, and an auto shifter among other thins that I can't think of off the top of my head right now. Plus you would need either a shop or someone that knows how to perform this swap as some fab work may be required.
