I Hate Older Siblings...
Last weekend, my sister and I were chatting away. All of sudden, she mentions "I can't believe its almost December?" Then she mentions about going Christmas shopping earlier like next month. When she said "Christmas;" I'm thinking about SNOW
more than Christmas! LOL Driving a lowered car in snow during a 45 mile commute ONE WAY during nasty snowstorms. NOT FUN. She just HAD to remind me of winter...
Since I was right about our summer this year. I knew it was going to be a quite cool for us in the Midwest. I'm going to say we'll have a green winter but its going to be freakin' cold
My poor Siberian Husky; possiblity of no snow....

This is why I went out and bought an old beat up 4wd. Driving my saturn wasnt bad last year, but when it overheated due to the radiator being packed with snow I knew that I needed something with some ground clearance. my xB spends all winter wearing a car cover, parked on tarps, with a tarp over her. Does that qualify as over protective?
Since I'm moving on my own next month...
I'm going to have ammo in my rear hach. Snow shovel, bucket of ice salt, and kitty litter.
I hope my tread on my winters will last another winter???? I'm not forking additional $803.00s for another set.

See, in Des Moines the roads get plowed pretty often, so it wasnt that bad in the metro, but anytime that I went anywhere outside of it I had a helluva time trying to get anywhere int he lowered Satan Wagon. This summer Im going on an all out attack with the 4Runner, so we will see what its like...
Or you know... You could just move to Phoenix AZ and say goodbye to the snow like I did.
I totaled two cars in the PZ winters! One was a stupid deer's fault and the other was a stupid semi driver's fault. After that, I knew itt was about time I parted ways with my hometown, lol.

More I think about it, I think they were 155.xx per tire. The guy at the shop knew me and gave me 10% discount. He tried to sell me better tire for 199.xx of the same brand.
These tires are what BMWs, Audis, Benzs usually get. Made with the European Alps in mind.
When I did pull into snow banks by accident, those tires kicked some serious a$$! I have feeling, I'll probably buy another set when these give up.

while the temp is right, don't be fooled people. cats down here in Miami/Ft. Lau start wearing warm jackets, snow boots and scarves when their "cold fronts" comes through (i.e. 55-60 with a chill). i laughed every year for the past 3 years since i've been stationed here. the "fall/winter" are the best months here as far as weather.
OP, posted some pics of the HUsky, please. I had an Alaskan Malamute, i love the sled dog family <3

The winters in AZ are epic. Low humidity, a little brisk.. beautiful.
The several months of 100s really sucked however. I was 49degrees this morning in MA... fml.
I need to buy a winter beater so I don't ruin my car this season.

Cheyenne "RIP our little red Princess"

The German Shepherd is Rookie. He was my dog who I was pretty much active with in dog training. I don't own him anymore since he got kicked out of my house and I became to active in the Scion World. He's been in a very good home for the past two years.
We also had black and white Husky named Dakota. He is also in heaven with Cheyenne.
