New mod, 15whp!
I couldn't resist the thread title
So my bro got a real bad oil leak on his turbo tc, the oil feed fitting coming off the head had a crack in the thread of the fitting. Took us forever to find the leak, and actually we didn't realize it untill we smelled oil cooking on the header, there was oil all over the engine and hoodliner. Lucky it didn't start a fire, as a result we put this in the car. I recommend it, plenty of buring turbo car videos on youtube

i need one myself!
I had a fuel line blow off my secondary fuel pump once.. spewing gas all over my 3" turbo back!
I got out of the car and started pushing it away from the puddle of gas!
Its not fun!

Lol that would look fugly on the apillar, its a pretty big one, those little dinky civic ones won't help you at all, 1 shot and your out of powder or halon.
you should get a bigger one though, fuel isnt cant easily be put out by a 15lbs extinguisher.. Oh those chemicals are bad for the engine components too, i was looking at a flame retardant system for cars and it was too pricey lol
then again, i dont know if i would be comfortable fixing my car after it had caught semi-fire, lol
i would just sit back, open a bag of popcorn, watch the fireworks, and let my insurance buy me a new car, lol
yeah I might just hope it be totalled and insurance will cover it so I can get a new car, than rebuilding a semi burnt car. But anything than can save your expensive electronics will be useful.
I'm not exactly sure that little fire extingusher would put out that kind of fire... I have a small fire extingusher in my car, but I doubt it will do much in an actual fire if I'm later than 15 seconds than getting to the start of the fire.
Yeah ive been meaning to get one in case something would ever happen. I want one of the halon under hood systems - but theyre quite expensive - like ~$450-500. Also that MIGHT freak any passengers a bit seeing a pull switch labeled "Pull Fire" on it in my center console
lol

I think it would be better if you put it somewhere so that you could reach it. If ur driving and you motor goes up it would suck to have to run out of the car, open the hatch and run back to the hood. Plus, if the battery goes up or the terminal breaks you cant open the trunk.
But i guess it's better than nothing.
