ok how much psi is the unichip good for? my friend is at 7 psi now. he bought a 9psi wg spring. he plan's on getting aem fic in a month or so. but would it be safe to put the spring in and drive with it? i dunno anything about the unichip but i was told before that you could run up to 10 psi no problem's?

I run 10 psi on mine with no problems. Just make sure you keep an eye on it, a little overboost and you could be in trouble. I guess I should note that my boost guage is a little flaky so it may be anywhere from 9-11psi that I run.

If your going to up the boost, just keep an eye on the wideband. If you don't have one, keep it as is.

Yea, if you dont have a uego or wideband gauge to monitor... I wouldnt raise any boost

The boost pressure doesnt matter with the unichip. Im pretty sure the load portion of the maps with the unichip are throttle position, not pressure. So basically it tunes off of throttle position and rpm instead of pressure and rpm like the FIC

Yea you can tune partial throttle with the unichip, but its not as effictive as the FIC or a standalone. This is why I ended up getting an FIC, because I felt partial throttle wasnt tuning accurately enough.... for my liking at least. But when you go in for the tune, specifically ask to tune for partial throttle as well as WOT. I mean WOT is a given, but just ask for a few pulls partial and you should be alright.
