Ok, so lets think about this... A dealer has more info than what is being released on the Scion website? Corporate has posted several things, 1.) March 2004, and 2.) that the RS 1.0 will only be available to Cali and the Feb release states....

ok here's the deal..As far as the New York region goes the production date is for some of the RS's is Feburary.

There will be 400 units allocated to this region so roughly all dealer will see a few (1-3)

Scion will look to fullfill sold orders first..so first come first served I guess.

I am in the southeast. Production on the RS Series 1 will be first week in Febuary and delivery time will be later part of March , early April. This is from several sources that deal w/ distribution and ordering here in the southeast.

All I can say is this is what the dealership told me. He was on the phone just before I arrived, he did not say who he was talking to, but he said this is the information he just received. Whether it is fact - I can't say. I guess we will all just have to wait and see. i am going to tell you something about dealerships that you may not know yet! the scion DEALERS DON'T KNOW SHIAT! My dealer has told me so many things, like january 15th 24 scions will be here(NOPE) and january 15th the scion showroom will be ready and you can order your scion then(NOPE) when you order your scion it will take 5-7 days afterthat to get the scion to the dealership(9 days and counting) and the newest one the orders are in and it will be mid to late febuary when they get to the dealership!!! the moral of the story is do not listen to what the stupid dealership tells you, they just want your $$$$$. they will tell you anything to get you to buy.

See what drives me nuts is the fact that a bunch of Scion Enthusiasts think they have so much information. But not one single person has been able to post verifiable information regarding their claim. If you read my FAQ you will find the sources I have gained my information from, I was not posting factless information. Yes those of you who say, let's wait and see, you are right, there is nothing else anyone can do... unless there is verifiable information regarding the release of the RS1.0....

With that said, as much as I am in love with this xB, and how much I am absorbed in excitment regarding it, I really am fed up with all of this crap...most of the users on these boards will tell you that I am one of the most obsessed people regarding the RS1.0 and that is true, but damn, all of the rumors are just destroying my excitement....

I guess I should appologize to Toolbox. I didn't mean to snap, and sometimes I forget that there are a lot of dealers out there who do jerk people around. Unfortunately, not all dealerships care enough about scion to be informed and get customers what they want...I forget that sometimes.

yes doc i know, i am sorry i did not mean to call you a dick. but here is something for you doc(true story, happened today) i am out at the rifle range this week, IN THE SNOW AND COLD, today a naval pettyofficer, ____ed himself to stay warm. no really he did, left a puddle of urine on the firing line. and worst of all he unked, so he had to stay outside for 3 more hours shooting all over again. then he was not allowed on the bus because our Ssgt, knew what WE(Marines) would do to him on the 45 min ride back to the armory) funny story isn't it doc, this is why i respect you more than any other naval person, it is because YOU go out there with us, in the sh*t cold and snow and train with us, this petty officer was the chaplines body guard(or what ever you want to call it)

its a short term fix..in training S.E.A.Ls do it...they put them in the water than make them lie on the beach in the cold for what seems like hours to them....maybe it is hours who knows...saw it on the DIScovery channel...those guys are tough sailors :twisted: :evil:

Be careful.... SEALS are seals first, those who got to remain corpsmen were lucky, some had to change their rate to be a SEAL, additionally as a SEAL you are an operator first, so therefore medicine is not your forte. It is not exactly like Delta Forces or Rangers, where they go to 18D school. I have more advanced medical training than most SEAL corpsmen, except some of the IDC's. And as most of you probly do not know, but in the last few years, SEAL platoons may have corpsmen in them but they have not been working as corpsmen, they have had AF PJ's attached to them....

There is not a better medic in the world than a good ol' FMF Corpsman!!!

I was the first person to sign up for one at my dealer ship, and since they have been the most persistant dealer in our region (they were the first in this region to get an xB) he might be right.
