don't worry too much about higher speed impacts. Newer cars are meant to be totaled/absorb more impact=safer passengers.

thats good to know, before this i had a 92 pontiac sunbird convertible, and i was sitting at a stoplight and a F-250 hit me doing 60mph ! it looked like the car got cut in half!

If I was you [assuming it's only cosmetic damage], I'd get a billet grill set, someone's stock front bumper, a sliver CF hood, and a set of fog lights. Bang, done for less than $2K.

You can't take repair costs as a measure of safety. A lot of cars that ace the government's crash test don't do well in the insurance institiute's testing because of high repair costs.

If you want safe and cheap to repair we'd all be driving with black rubber coated steel bumpers and none of these cosmetic plastic covers.

I am not worried at all about the cost of an accident i was worried about the safety issue, i have a 250 deductible so that all i pay, the insurance comp pays for the rest!

Wow, I was expecting more damage than that. Shouldn't take more than a week to get you back on the road, providing all of the parts are in stock.

it doesnt look bad in the pictures, but in person it was bad, the fender on the driver side pushed back over the door so i could not open my door anymore, and so far the projected date for return of my baby is 3 weeks!!!!! it sucks but the end of three weeks is next friday, hope i can make it!!! and there was also alot of inside damage, i.e. the radiator and stuff like that.

That sucks, now your insurance is going to go up since it's an at fault accident and your car now has an accident record. Are you planning on keeping the car after this?
