View Full Version : Any Polar white Xb's with rims on here?
EnderUSAF 02-03-2005, 10:06 AM I just got a Xb for the wife and am looking into possible gifts for her in the future. I think this car would look clean with some nice rims probably 17's maybe 18's if they don't look to big and don't cause any problems. What do the white Xb's look like with rims. I'm thinking about going with a darker color rim, possibly gunmetal, or black. Let's see what everyone on here's done.

jaymo 02-03-2005, 03:09 PM Get Motegi's MR7's (in white) 18" (45 offset)...tires go 215x35x18...awesome....One word of advice...with a 45 offset, you cannot go with a tire of 225 in width!
squirrel 02-03-2005, 03:38 PM PM Matt (Opr8r), Teddy, (bBted),and Nilo (XBBOY). They have some really nice Polar White xBs w/ wheels. And there's also Jay (Jay) who just installed a Fabulous kit.

superjeer 02-03-2005, 04:05 PM hmmm.. is there not a link from a registry entry to the user's gallery entry?
Edit:
I see, there's links if there IS a gallery entry. The registry's got some bugs though, I think.

katchkillah 02-08-2005, 05:35 PM hey desert, i noticed you only took off the vinyl from the front door? what happened?
SirScion 02-09-2005, 05:57 AM Is the vinyl hard to get off? is it all a consistent color under it, I would like to take mine off, but I am afraid to, do I just use a razor to get a corner then pull? and does it look good when it is all off? :eyebrow:

katchkillah 02-09-2005, 07:41 AM as for the vinyl. after experimenting/experience i would say get a hair dryer heat up the vinyl and peel. don't forget to roll you window down it's alot easier. and as you start to peel, try to get the vinyl to roll over (like when peeling a banana). i found as you heat and roll over it came off easier. and when you get to the ends that are covered/stuffed under the mirror and door, i found if i heat wiggle, heat, wiggle, heat wiggle it came off. of course as i did one door to the next i started to learn how to do it easier and faster. but by then i was on the last door. hope you are more successful then me. but i think somewhere in the general xb thread there's a thread on it already. that's where i found out about. just do a search. of course i didn't know all the finer details and had to learn from my mistakes.
