lol u know what... i thought the same thing.. cuz one of the guys at work had taken pics of my car when it was finished then showed them to me on his camera and i hadnt even gone outside to actually see the car yet and i was like eww i dont like the rear.. but the pics dont do it justice... it looks sooooooo awesome.. it doesnt look as big and awkward in person as it did in that pic.. i really dig the rear actually... i'm gonna take better pics tomorrow cuz it was already dark when it was installed :) thanks for the input everyone!!

The front is nice, not really digging the back. Tell the paint shop to paint the entire car when they go at the bodykit.

looks slick. But the mesh silver stuff beneath the grill reminds me of all the civics running around in bakersfield. Maybe you can add something else to it? (Fog light, stickers, etc.) Just my opinion.

How wide are you tires? I love that kit, and want to get it, but I dont' want to go larger then 18x7.5 or 18x8 rims. That's why I'm not getting the widebody.

looks good, I think bronze wheels would have also looked real sweet with your bronze stars. Its kinda hard to see the lines of the body kit in black though. Looks good.

umm, guys i think she's got a carbon fiber hood and hatch. that would explain the off color of those, but i do see some differences in the fender color. maybe they ran out of turtle wax before they got to the fender..?? :eyebrow:

the color is matched fine.. its actually factory pack paint.. but it hasnt been color sanded or buffed out because it was done way too close to the day of the show and the weather had been pretty crappy the days following it getting painted... and yes it is a cf hatch and cf hood!! remember guys it was at a car show, hot import NIGHTS... the lighting isnt that great.. if u see the car in person it matches fine... the light reflects differently on the fenders then the kit because of the angles.. so i didnt have a "colorblind paint specialist" (given the fact that a paint machine actually mixes the paint FYI smash... dont know how its done in VA). I'll post some pics of it during the day... so its not a finished product yet still gotta color sand and buff it out!! :)

i'll be gettin the reverbs back... but in 18's... the 19's are cool but dont care too much for the rubbing when i go over bumps... plus i like the goldies better ;)

Good pics, personally I like the new rims even though they dont match, they still look good with the Carbon Hood and Hatch. And before they said anything about the color, they should have asked if you were running certain CF parts, i.e. Hood and Hatch. Keep up the good work, we know your car is a work in progress.

The hood and hatch have nuthin to do with the color beeing different from the fender, door, and rear quarter!!!!Clearly you can see its a c/b hood and hatch. I already knew that just by lookin at it.

And also if you think that wetsanding and buffing it, is gonna make it look like a different color. I think.. in FACT.. I know thats not possible. The only thing your gonna do when its wetsanded and buffed is your gonna remove the orange peel in the paint ( which all paint has till wetsanded and buffed no matter how good you are. You always get a little) And it looks like the rest of the car should be wetsanded and buffed to get the swirl marks out from washing it.. ( the worst on dark cars) That will help tone in the colors a little better. Because the paint is fresh and prolly hasnt been washed yet or many times. Meaning there are not erally any swirl marks yet which will make it look like its a lot shinier than the rest of the car. That could be what we are MISTAKING it for. But im not sure. From the picture it def. looks a lot darker

But overall. Still looks hot and im not talkin crap. I was voicing my opinion. Just keep up the good work.

And as far as the angle stuff goes.. Where the fender meets the front bumper. They are the same angle. Therefore would make it the same color as the bumper. Which would in turn. fade the color as it got farther from the bumper, Since the lines change as is goes to the rear of the car. And that would be the same as for the rear bumper. EX: Take anything shiny that is breakable. Break it into 2 pieces. Then hold the 2 pieces like its not broke. The color wont be the same. And the angle will be the same.. Just like the bumper meeting the fender/ or rear quarter panel.

Personally I like it, I think it looks better than the ones that get added on with the rods. H&R has one on their TC, and I like this one better. It would look even better and not stand out so much if Canards were added, giving it an overall JGTC / Race look. Just IMO.

yeah, but come one. this isn't Nascar where you need to get that front bumper as low to the ground as possible to give you an edge when you're doing 200mph. that lip will get torn up in everyday driving. can that thing even go over a speed bump?

did you say Nascar? LOL. Of course the car will never see speeds anywhere near 200 mph, but its just about style. Realistically how many aerodynamic parts on daily driven cars actually help? My guess is VERY few. Unless you are talking about a Bomex air scoop for an MR2, or a properly designed bumper that will allow more air to hit the Intercooler / Brakes / CAI, then we know most parts people run on any type of Import are for show. Besides that particular front is Urethane, and it will not get tore up, plus she has stated multiple times that her car is too low and she is going to raise it up. For the record I have the same bumper on my car, only in Carbon, which WILL crack if I am not careful but I drive all over the place and hav yet to scrape over anything. Of course, just to be safe I am putting the FRP version on this weekend for daily, but I dont plan on messing that one up either.

Really, if you think these bumpers give a difference on REAL difference on the street, you're really dreaming. I Drive 160mph on a regular basis and ONLY at 140+ do these bumpers really make a difference. Let me tell you, you really do need downforce at over 140 cuz my car feels like it's going to lift off and fly. So Yes, if your Scion goes over 140, then definately get a kit. If you want an awesome looking car, definately get the kit anyhow!

car looks good i think. i actually like the star touch, its interesting (and yes i like girls all you haterz). haha. when you put the gold rims back on are you going to space the back ones to be flush with the body? that's really the only thing i think the car needs (other than f/i for the gap in the front).
