I'm making this month's contest a little tougher. Your task will be to build a scale-model Scion (tC/xA/xB) and photograph it. You must build this model from scratch using common household materials. It could be Play-Doh, aluminum foil, a wood carving, etc. It can be as simple or as complex as you want.

The prize for this month's contest is your choice of the following:
- A Hotchkis lowering spring kit for your Scion model courtesy of www.hotchkistuning.com
- An AudioFormz fiberglass xB subwoofer enclosure courtesy of www.audioformz.com
- A one-year Premium Membership to Scion Life, including stickers and plate frame

- You may NOT use any pre-manufactured car parts or car-shaped parts such as wheels, emblems, etc.
- The components must be available to anyone (hardware store, grocery store, etc)
- The scale is up to you, but must be smaller than a real Scion
- Your photo must have your Screen Name in it (written on model or paper, added with Photoshop)
- Your final model SHOULD be recognized as a Scion, although all skill levels are invited to compete

As always I am the sole judge and my decision is final. I will be choosing the winner based solely on creativity. I might choose a model that isn't perfectly Scion-shaped if it is biult out of something that I would never have expected... so dig deep on those junk drawers!

i built it using airheads for the body,headlights are skittles,tail lights are half starbursts, scion logo is a snocap, grill is made of twizzlers,and since i didnt have any of the small peanut butter cups i used the regular sized as wheels. and i used two bananas as handles(runts)[/img]

This is my first contest!!! this took me 2 days to build, and it was genuwinely not easy! i used legos as brackets to hold the different sections of popsicle sticks together, along with a little tape(cheap i know but i couldnt get the glue to hold well to the legos. I had some help from my 4 year old sister on this one (we built a bird cage too....) anyway, here it goes!

well i was at my girlfriends house to take the pics cause she has the cam and it still wasnt dry, glue wise. so i didnt want to move it much as you can see its not exactally the strongest thing in the world. These are pics of the next R.S. Scion Xb; RS Cake Edition. It's a three layer cake with vanilla icing. The wheels are completely "custome" (made from melted chocolate). Mods on this sweet thing are Motegi wheels, tein coil overs and blue under body neons.....who wants a slice?

i would have to agree it is very nice from what i can figure it looks as if he made a mold around a dub city and than filled it with like the foam and than pulled away the mold and detailed the lines (or he can carve like no other) but never the less it looks great and he made it :bow:

am I the only one that is going to do a tC, come on guys, they are part of the family too! I am working on an xA too.

The xB is the only Scion, unless you are really good, that would not be mistaken for a Nissan, Mits, Chevy, Etc. Perhaps we all realize our skill level, and work with the easily distinguished xB. Plus, I have one, so I have a rather large model to down-size.

I can only work on mine for about 3 minutes at a time and then an hour or two break(Not ADD). Plus, always things to add to make it more "driveable". Enjoying the time spent on it though.

Well i realy wanted this too look totaly different but i didn't expect to be so hard and also while i was doing this i got without the clay so went to the michaels and bought different clay because the one i used was gone :( .....thats why the car doesent have the shape........anyway i did inside and outside with clay and then i painted with 3 coats.........here are the pics dont laugh!! :rofl: oh btw i used the big plastic EGG for windows and shape :) :rofl:

Here's my entry. I started with a large chunk of balsa, and using a sharp pocket knife, dremel, and sandpaper, got the shape I wanted. Lots of primer, then sanding, then primer, then sanding and some metallic paint got me where I wanted to be. Some detail work and many clear coats made the paint really pop. You can see some reflections in the paint in the last couple pictures.

I have never made anything like this, but with enough time I was able to get what I wanted. The whole car is one piece of balsa, which I am pretty proud of.

Twizzlers pull-n-peel (door handles), Starburst (mirrors), Foil (headlights),
Pixy Stix wrappers (tail lights), white paper/green saran wrap (windows).

MADE FROM: 200+ pop sickel sticks 19 hot glue sticks... 10 pop cans. and 4 pop can bottoms.... windows are inside of pop cans. and black perm. marker for tires. hope you guys like.
