This is to all the people wondering the benefits of being involved in a Scion car club.
-You won’t be a loner. If that is your choice then so be it and have a good time. No disrespect at all what so ever.
-The Scion car clubs are heavily involved in all activities shows/events, meets, Scion private events, and fundraisers so you won’t miss a beat
-It gives you something different to do each and every time
-You will never wonder what, how, and when something is and avoids noob questions on forum boards
-You get to meet new friends that share the same passion as you do which leads to a new future
-It’s a lot of fun!
-The Scion club in my opinion is what moves this Scion culture.
Q & A’s about this:
Q. Is this for me?
A. If you love the Scion scene enough a club is meant for you, just find the right one that matches you.
Q. I heard there is a lot of drama.
A. As long as you don’t bicker with everyone or anyone and start ish, you should be just fine.
Q. Where can I check out the Scion clubs?
A. View local So Cal club’s thread that is stickied or log into Scion.com for the nearest club in your area.
Q. Is it a friendly environment?
A. Yes, every Scion owner I’ve met in 5 years has been great because I personally approached them and made a point that I am there for them and would like to get to know them and their club.
Well what are you waiting for? There is a lot of clubs in So Cal that can sure use a few good men and women. My message to all the Scion clubs out there representing their club on Scion Night, have fun out there Tuesday night and cant wait to see and participate in your activities you all have planned.
See yall on Tuesday! Don't forget your toys!

This guy! LMAO. This thread isnt about recruiting, but more bringing more Scion people into the scene. I dont know if you all have noticed, but it's really dead and the Pac South use to be poppin everyday and now its just blah. You cant blame the economy on a dead forum board either. LOL.

Scion Clubs are a great start to get into the scene and meet new people w/ the same interests, where it got boring for me was seeing all of the same cars over and over again, but then again, thats just me

i've been in the car scene since 1999... i've been through it all. when i was introduced to the scion scene in 2006, i was like WHOA...this is pretty cool... but then again, there are people out there that ended up having drama with team members, and taking it out on the whole club and are no "MAN" enough to deal with it and just leave... i mean, if you leave for your own personal reasons... then thats cool...but if you leave because you brought your own personal drama with you... and annoy the crap out of team members, then something ,must be wrong with that person....and some people join teams for the wrong reasons... THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM last time i checked...

Kirby can I join ur club hehehehe
The club thing can be fun, I loved hanging out with my teammates at shows/meets/get togethers. on the flip side clubs can be very political and sometimes the voice of one is drowned out by the voices of those in charge.
As Kirby said find a group of people that you mesh with best. Go to different meetings/events and introduce urself. I possibly would have never joined SE if it was for Kirby coming up to me and asking where I lived.
But note my signature REAL FRIENDS > CAR CLUBS. I stand by that greatly now espcially since I no longer have a Scion but a handful of Scion owners are still really close friends

Good thread Mr. Kirby. I have noticed that the scene is dying but we will be ok.
I remember when there were so many parts to get for the TC. It seems like everyone (tuners) have got what they need so now TC's are on the civic side now. Maybe if we could get some fresh parts we should be good right? But like you said kirby, the recession is killin it.
RS2 lip kit coming soon!!!!

wow! good thread kirb, i joined a club for a simple reason of being involved not knowing what it would turn out to be. but yes kirb was there to help from the beginning.
this has been a bit off lately between the clubs and it's a lot of he said she said and it could lead to a slow dismantle of what the scion scene is all about.
but yes looking foward to scion night and seeing everyone's activities!

A. As long as you don’t bicker with everyone or anyone and start ish, you should be just fine.
It's just a matter of respecting others opinions. For example: Me saying I HATE you Kirby!!!
That's my opinion and you should respect that and love me for it. LOL

i know you didn't mean it.. but saying this pretty much implies that if you're not involved in a club.. that you are a loner??
silly kirby. :P
sorry, but due to whoever's decision for the date.. i'll be missing the party. you guys have fun.

Well said Kirby, but there are some ugly sides to being a car club too, but for sure the positives out weight the negatives. I feel that the reason it has died down lately is because at the beginning it was all fresh and new, so it was fun, but after a while it gets repetitive and becomes boring and predictable. What the Scion community needs a new fresh look, but that's easier said then done, Scion needs to start doing something different, come up with some new ideas to keep these car shows/events interesting, cause I have to be honest with you all, I'm not that active in the Scion scene anymore, I do not miss going to car shows either, it got boring and predictable for me towers the end, plus became stressful at times; however I do miss getting together with all the people I made friends through out the years, which should be the #1 reason why you "want" to join a car club, not for "what can I get for free?", or "what's in it for me?" I hated getting those 2 when I use to run ScionTific, if those are things you think about when you're thinking of joining a car club, the let me tell you: a car club is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU.....

I couldnt agree more with Trav.....well said Bro. If it werent for Travis,Kirby and the warm welcome they gave me at my first meeting. I probably would have never got into the scene at all.
I do truely believe clubs are a good thing though and I'm really happy i got involved in the scene.
It's great showing up at events and seeing so many great people from different(and awesome) clubs and getting a warm welcome,Hug or Hand shake.
It's always been about the people and having fun first to me......owning a Great car and doing all kinds of crazy shows and events is a plus!!
I know all clubs extend a warm welcome to there meets, so if your new and not sure, stop and check all of them out.
Scion owners don't bite(unless your hands near there burger in a 200 person food line at a show):rofl:
The best to all my Scion friends out there!!

Thanks for this Dialog! I think its a great thread.
I totally agree with checking out the different clubs.
There are so many out there and I have to say that I was at first hesitant to join also.
My Good Friend Roland from Scion Kreationz tried to get me to go to a meet for a couple of months before I decided to join. I'm going on 2 years now and I was Voted Vice President earlier this year.
I have to say It was nothing I expected it to be. I had no Idea how close knit the community was. I've met alot of people in Different Clubs who are some of the coolest people I have ever met anywhere.
I do agree in checking out all that each club has to offer. Because they all have so much to offer and each club is unique in its own right. There really is a flavor for just about anyone when it comes to the Scion Clubs.
I get a little ticked off when I hear "Solo Roders" bad mouthing the clubs, and maybe they have had bad experiences before. But Its just wrong to generalize all clubs in that fashion.
I am really glad someone stepped up to post an open invitation to all scion owners to encourage them to check out the Car Club Scene.
In essence, we are all like minded individuals with Lots of Love for our Scions!
