Max2k 02-05-2005, 09:43 PM Take the headlights off, put them in the oven for 5 minutes at 250. Pry the assembly open with a couple of flat head screwdrivers and a friend. Remove reflector. Reassemble headlight, put in oven with lens up for another 5 minutes. When you take them out of the oven, press the lens on to ensure seal. Put headlights back on car. Done. It helps to wear thick gloves after you take the headlight out of the oven. squarepants 02-06-2005, 04:31 AM hmm think i'll try the hammer and screw driver,the reason i ask about the oven is that some of the broken glass is hard to get out and it also leave scratches... hotbox05 02-06-2005, 05:59 AM the lil pieces easily come out if u know the way . lol. scratches only occur if yer screwdriver slips. dollar5 02-07-2005, 12:45 AM i have used the hammer method on mine... i still have a few small peices of orange plastic that didnt break out right, it wedged in the side.. i dont know waht i am going to do... i dont know if i am confident with the oven method.... has anyone else had problems completly removing the orange reflector with the hammer method? id really like to know how to finish the job... hotbox05 02-07-2005, 01:10 AM use a miniature bent nose pliers or a coat hangar |
