Well basically for some odd reason my MAFS is damaged and throwing a CEL. And no i can't goto the dealership and get it replaced underwarranty since that was voided a long time ago (since greddy turbo kit).

I don't know much about toyota motors (i'm mostly a nissan guy) thats why i'm asking here. I can get my hands on another OEM 1.5l MAFS but if possible i'd like to upgrade, possibly to a celica 1.8 mafs? or even a corrolla mafs? My car is currently using a stock ecu with a greddy e-manage so if other toyota mafs are similar the e-manage can adjust the settings for the larger mafs if needed.

ANY help would be appreciated.

THANKS,
duey

I'm not sure what the MAF setup looks like on the greddy system, but iI'm guessing it just uses the MAF electronics. I know Fords use a MAF with a housing that's specific to the electronics, but that doesn't seem to be the case with these cars. So, I'd say it's pointless to upgrade the MAF to anything other than a scion MAF, especially if you have the emanage.

Basically with e-manage you can use any supported MAF of the same style (in this case, any hot-wire MAF). If you're using the support tool, which I'm sure you are, you should be able to select the MAF change in the drop down menu. Any Toyota MAF should work, as should a Nissan MAF.

BTW, were you having issues with the MAF pegging 5v most of the time under boost?

thanks just what i needed to hear :)

and yea just as boost kicks in the MAF is completely pegged out. but the MAF had already given problems before the turbo so that could also be the problem. Well i'm off to compare different MAFS from other cars to see what may or may not work. Any suggestions on some online shops i can buy some OEM toyota MAFS?

thanks again,
