Hey there.. Does anyone know anything about our E-Brakes? My sensor is bad.. I wripped out the middle console along with chrno to check whats wrong with it.. My Ebrake light stays on when it is fully dropped.. and i thought it was the cable.. well we took out the middle console to check.. and we pressed the ebrake sensor, that little white button on it, and the ebrake light wont turn off.. we came to the conclusion that our ebrake works but the sensor doesnt.. I called toyota to ask for a replacement part and they said it would run me about 238 buckaroos.. hella bank.. but yeah.. i was wondering if all toyota's share the same e brake sensor so i can just snatch one off any toyota instead of buying an expensive one.. and also if that doesnt help.. can anyone direct me to find a cheaper ebrake sensor.. 238 is just too much for me.. for a little small button with wires.. hehe oh and i live around the san jose area in the bay area.. and i was wondering if like pick and pull has like totalled xa's or xb's there.. i know of a couple people who totalled their car and i might be able to snatch it off those cars.. thanks

why not bring it to the dealer, it does have a waranty.....

are you totally sure? i asked the dealer if my ebrake is covered and they're said maybe maybenot.. so im not sure..

It should be covered since it is likely a manufacturer defect. Bring it into the dealer and have them fix it under warranty, if they won't, call Scion's customer service line and voice your concerns there. Paying to fix it should be the last thing you do!

go talk to them, ask them if it would be covered (it has to be, its a new car...)

Its covered and some sale rep doesn't really know if its under warranty or not. Just set-up an appt. to get it looked at and you should be fine under warranty. I had my car go in for warranty work a few times so I know.
