I traded in my 05 PW xB today. I was getting bored of the color and saw a hot looking silver 2000 MR2 Spyder on the lot.

I liked the xB alot but just wanted something diffferent. i will probably buy another xB when they come out with some better colors, a bright blue would be so nice. it just seems they keep all the bright colors to use as release editions. red, yellow, orange

I'll still be around on here, im getting a 6disc scion headunit for my mr2. so i will still have something scion

not really,. i had my xB for half a yr. brand new xB's go for 14k brand new mr2's go for about 27k.

thats like saying trading in an 05 cavalier for 00 porsche is a backwards move, the value of a car depends on a lot more than the year it was made

 

however you justify it, it's your money.

 

16+ second 1/4 mile is NOT a sports car, sorry.. You have officially purchased a SLOW car. But have no fear... Just tell people you are borrowing your sister's car for awhile until you can get something else.. It's very girly, so that lie will pass easily.

im not saying the car is a uber sport car but, a car stock that does 0-60 in 6.9 or car stock that does 0-60 in 9sec. seems likes the mr2 could go faster with improvements than with a civic improved.

the mr2 is made for better handling and stuff also than some base model civic with a bunch of ricer accesories stuck to it.

im not knocking the tC or anything but it takes 8sec to go 0-60 and some people call it a sports car.

and if 6.9 is really a SLOW car as you put it, then its a good thing i got rid of my UBER SLOW xB, because id never get up to 60 then in that because itss sooooo slooowww.

no one claims the xB as a 'sports car' though.. It was not meant to go fast...

And I'm not saying that the mr2 is a bad car.. It's perfect for rich teenage girls.. But don't call it a sports car.. It's a roadster 2 seater, which gives you the illusion of it being fast, when actually it isn't... The handling is nothing to write home about either...

As for it 'seeming like the mr2 could go faster with improvements'... Well, sky is the limit... if you are talking engine swaps, forced induction, whatever... Anything can be made to go faster than something else...

My whole point is that you made a decision that you will regret.. GL with the car..

As for mods... This should be your first for this type of car... Goes around rear-view mirror
