Ok I will be getting E-manage Ultimate soon. I want to raise my redline a little bit because I run the 1/8th mile with the rev limiter hitting right before I finish. I wnat to raise it just a little bit so I can rev just slightly higher and run the 1/8th in 1st 2nd and 3rd. What is max rpm the stock head can handle. I have heard it is 7200 before valves float. I want to set my limiter a good 500 below where the valves will float. Anyone know for certain?

If it is in fact 7200 I will probably let my rev limiter to 7k.

6200 is around stock rev limit. do what u want6500 rpm for 2007 and up, since the law was put into place on how manufactures dyno, wich is why toyata bumped up compression added oil injectors, differant maf sensor and retuned ecu. it was either add more power on the tc or lower hp #'s advertised.

i went down to 8 once, went to second instead of 4th, but caught it so im sure 7200 would be fine but i would build it.

Was talking to a person locally who had the cams and such on the stock head with jsut a port and polish and he ran his at 6800,he got no more usable power at that RPM but it gave him more time on the shifts before it dropped between shifts to a usable point.

FWIW 6555 is what my aftermarket tachometer read as fuel cut
