Default Take a look at these...

Hey guys i recently started to be interested in gold wheel for my R.S. 3.0, as opposed to before i was strictly looking at either gun metal or black chrome..

I was just browsing internet and came across some wheels on ebay.

Now, i would like a wheel that would look agressive, that would be able to fit 245 tire with no rubbing and possibly look like on M3 when the wheel is kind of going back in towards the center , do i make sence ?

anyway look at this deal guys.. maybe someone would jump on it.

BTW how is the offset of +48 going to look on our cars with lets say 245 tire ? i mean i would love to put 255 but i think rubbing is guaranteed with 255 am i right ?

offset is too high and with a really wide tire it might be rubbing on the shocks/struts, atleast aim for a 42-40 offset and you should be good but xxr's are cheap wheels with bad offsets.

There is a local guy around here that has a done up RS3, kaminari kit, carbon hood, etc. He had gold rims on for a while but it looked horrible with the carbon hood & tinted windows. Save your self some money if you have the hood, tinted windows or plan to and get either a silver, black or gunmetal. And those are subaru offsets, no where near agressive enough for our cars. I have a 19x8 +40 and only "scuff" a touch on big bumps.

hmm i thought 40 offset would rub,

does the size of the rim affect the offset effectivness ?

like going from 17x8 going to 18x8 and if lets say in 17'' combination 45 offset is perfect would it be the same case in 18s ?

well do you want flush or do you want the wheel tucked in? for flush and in 18x8 or bigger you need an offset of +35 or lower to be flush. for tucked go for an offset of +40 or higher. correct me if i am wrong though.

i'm running 18x8 with a 40 offset and 225/40/18 tires and dont rub even with the car full of passengers. but adding 245 tires might rub unless you roll your fenders for the rear but 245 for the front is too much imo but you might need a wider rim for the 245 tires if you want it to look good as well.

the whole reason why i'm getting 8'' wheel is because i want to run 245 tire.

You can run any setup you want with the right modifications. There is a dude running 275s on 18x9.5 rim so it can be done. It also matters what you are lowered on, honestly with that offset I don't think you will have much of a problem with 245 but 255 might.
