View Full Version : Lexus Badges for Scion

I want Lexus badges for my scion xB. I've checked ebay and they either don't have a full set or they're really expensive. I would like to know where I could get Lexus badges cheaper or if you think I should just get vinyl Lexus decals (that look like the emblems) and use those instead.

If I did the vinyl decals, I could do something clever like "Bx300" or something like that.

BTW: don't give me b/s about "rebadging is wrong" or anything like that. Its my decision to change it. My xB has been debadged since I bought it and I'm really annoyed of people asking me what it is. I think it'd be cool to say "It's a Lexus" :silly:

Lexus is Toyota. Toyota is Scion. Scion is Lexus.

BTW: don't give me b/s about "rebadging is wrong" or anything like that. Its my decision to change it.

IN OTHER WORDS, please keep your negative comments to yourself. Only post here if you can tell me where to get Lexus badges.

Have you tried the junkyard, maybe u'll find a totaled lexus that you can take them off of.

ebay is about as cheap as you'll get other than a junker.

Bouncer

Junkyard is a good idea!

If I cant find any good ones there, I found vinyl ones at decalkits.com $20 gets you a full set.

Thanks, I appreciate your ideas.

he says not to give him any B.S, about it and the very first two posts do that.... you could just choke people sometimes.

But I digress.... where I find the irony in the whole thing is, what makes this 'mod' different/better/worse what rebadging an xB with bB or xA with ist badges??? And NO, they AREN'T the same vehicle - the xA/xB and the ist/bB's only LOOK the same. So... if you got 'bB' on the back of the box, in my book - you're just as big of a poser as someone with a Lexus "L" and a "bX300"

He's not looking for Mercedes stars for the grille - I don't think I'd sport Lexus badges - but it is in the same family at least - But I guess if you have a Toyota Altezza in Japan and swap on some Lexus and "IS300" badges... you're probably a poser over there then....

Get off his ___.

I understand why ppl would be annoyed, I myself don't agree with such things as rebadging...but Scion to Lexus is a hell of alot better than something really stupid like Scion to Ferarri.

Bouncer is a loser. :loser: and No, I've seen him before...he's a loser.

Just when I start to forget, I always find a reason to dislike a hall monitor.

Now... you may be just 'playing' - but it sure as hell doesn't read that way and humor sure as hell doesn't translate into print well.

Assuming you're NOT JOKING - Just who the f*ck do you think you are you?!? Why don't you shut the f*ck up and stick to your website crossing-guard duties.

I am ever so proud that YOU are 'staff' of the website - it's good to know that the loser that you are, YOU are an acting ambassador for the site. I am embarrassed to even associate myself with the place knowing that someone who is supposed to be above name calling - SUCH AS SITE STAFF!! - members who are looking for answers to actually, rather benign questions.

You call HIM a loser (FOR LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE!) -

Now granted, my pittance of a 'sponsorship' amounts to a whopping $.33 a day, an amount I net 10x a minute while sleeping - but even that whopping, little measly amount should definately NOT be going to the site so long as there are snot nosed little children as yourself (WHO ARE STAFF!!) verbally humiliating a MEMBER for asking a rather innocent question. At the moment, unless I cool off enough - Darren can expect the next automatic monthly payment to be denied by Paypal.

You should be ashamed, and sure as hell shouldn't be serving on the site staff.

And Darren - I apologize for the open rant - it is your site, and being so, you have every right to maintain the board in any manner of your choosing, but if that means allowing Scionlife staff to insinuate - or rather, directly derogate a MEMBER - then so be it, but more than a few of us will be on our way. Fully aware that that's no skin off yours or anyone else's nose, but at least we'll know in advance and wont have to bother with it.

Why was the :loser: emoticon quoted, but not the :rofl: ? It may not seem much, but it should have been quoted. Text does not have emotion and the emoticons help express it. My comments were meant to tease, not offend.

For those who feel offended by my comments, I'm sorry. Bouncer and I are members of a club called Scion Dynasty. Although we do not hang out on a regular basis, we met at a big 2004 meet in Kissimee, Florida. I was just teasing him. I didn't mean any harm by it. I'm just used to Bouncer's goofy posts on the Scion Dynasty forum. By the way...Bouncer, your girlfriend, Tiffany, doesn't do softcore modeling anymore. Someone posted her yearbook pictures (with her name) online and she freaked out. :doh:

Anyway, it was unprofessional of me to say what I said. From now on, I will be more discreet in my posts.

Also, it's not hard to mount an emblem on a piece of plastic and secure that to the front grill. You don't have to pry the stock mounting apart.

After someone stole my grill and front emblem, I took the one from the back (it was laying around), cut out a piece of clear plastic to fit the oval shape, painted the back black, and secured it to the front grill with a little peel and stick foot and a couple zipties. It came out looking pretty nice. 3M emblem adhesive would work as well.

Back on topic, I saw a Lexus emblem on a BOP xB at the Central Florida Toyo Show.
I'd only put another emblem on my xB...if I had majority parts of that car on mine.

I thought about putting bB badges on my car, but with the (no) money I have and parts I try to get, it wouldnt come near a bB.

I've had Lexus & DUB Badges since I installed the 20" wheels. All the old farts ask if its a Lexus DUB or DOOB. Mine is blinged out to almost $35k. Photos here: http://www.scionlife.com/?Mark
Interesting fact: Scion, Toyota, & Lexus badges all come in the same size for rear emblems (135mm x 100mm ??) 8)
PS: My rear badge is from a 2000 LS430 trunk lid & was $85 from Lexus

Even though I hate the idea of rebadging the box to a bB, Lexus, JEEP, or otherwise. I have to say that the red "L" emblem in the link below is pretty sweet in my opinion. The red look go well with a white, silver, or blue xB. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7952042320&category=33643

hmmm... why do we change the names of the imports? I think thats stupid of us to do that.

Sometimes it's done because they don't think the original names will play in the USA... Remember Datsun? They were always called Nissan in Japan but they renamed it because they didn't think it would be accepted well here. it was always confusing to me when I was young why a Datsun had Nismo written all over it... Then they finally decided we could handle it and changed their name back...

Names can have a big impact, just ask Chevy about their car they made to try and capture the market in Mexico - the Nova...

Lexus = Toyota
Scion = Toyota
Scion != Lexus

Also, I've never seen a Lexus with hubcaps...

You do what you want to your car. Besides, you're the one that will have to deal with the back talk.

Anyway, Tamago races at auto-x events and he's pretty good at it. Racing harnesses help keep your body planted in your seat while driving. Auto-x tracks have lots of twists and turns, in which the racing harness helps a lot. I'm sure Tamago will chime in in the morning...

I don't think Lexus badges are as pointless as a 4 point racing harness in an xA.

that's because you're a ricer at heart.

what's more important to you? making your car look better or perform better? if you say look better, then i guess that's why you have the mentality that you do.

if you say perform better, then why are you giving me ____ for lightening my car and improving my chances of crossing the finish line before the other guy? in what way is that pointless? because i dont' have lexus badges?

if you saw my car, you'd see that i've gone form over function almost 100%. the function of my momos is to lower the car's weight, while allowing for better stability during autoX. the 5pt harness is to hold me to my seat while i race, so i can concentrate on DRIVING.

i will continue to give Bouncer for one reason only. he wants to have lexus badges, but he thinks they're too expensive.. what a moron. if you want to "bling" out your ride, then "bling" it right. if you can't afford lexus badges for your ricebox, then you probably shouldn't be putting them on.
