I am installing a DNX-9140. I'm pretty sure the white wire in the second pic is the Remote Amp Wire, but what is the white wire in the first pic?

 

why did u cut your stock harness

 

ugh, please I dont want a ton of comments saying you should have got the wiring harness adapter. Both the amp wire and the mystery wire arent even used in the cheapo wiring harness adapters anyway. The goal is to have the stock speakers and sub work until we are able to buy the rest of the system later.

nah, it seems like all the diagrams I've come across are the older TC's without the factory amp/sub.
