Default Everyone With Headers?!?!

I did a search, found a lot of stuff but not what i was looking for. I wanted everyone opinion on Headers... what brands and any noticable difference in oerformance or sound... what other mods are done to the car???

i have injen CAI and a custom bent 2 1/2in pipe from cat straight to a 3A Racing muffler... the only thing im worried about is that i won't pass the loudness law in my state im already on the edge of not passing... but i really don't care... i like noise form a toaster... it means its workin

Thanks

I have an Injen CAI, DC Header, and custom 2" piped resonator-back with an HKS canister. With the DC header, I noticed better throttle response and higher mid to high-end torque. The low-end torque lose wasn't noticeable...

The "loudness" law mostly has to do with your 2.5" piping...as well as your muffler. I don't know much about 3A Racing mufflers, but the piping is definitely resonating sound louder than it should...

Well, if you do a search for headers, it'll come up with a few threads. You have to pick out the information, though...

Well a freind of mine has a DC header , a Blitz axle back and an AEM cold air intake & the XB isn't that much louder than stock, he was slightly disappointed since he was looking for that tuner sound, another freind just did one of those universal mufflers and it was louder with no header, I will put my header on this weekend, but with the stock exhaust until my body kit arrives.

Yeah, like I said, you should notice better throttle response. Watch out for the header bolts though, they aren't the best quality...The OEM replacement bolts are different, too. I ended up using generic ones...

wow dude 2.5 inch pipe . is way too big for a n/a 1.5 but oh well your car will be insanely loud. even louder than it is now . i'm running megan racing header and 2.0 cat back with a glasspack resonator and an a-spec 2.5 muffler and my car is considered pretty loud probably still legal but on the line. you will be soo insanely loud think 110 or 115 db.

I ran 2.5 from the cat back. It is a good bit louder, but not illegal. Suffice to say, they here me coming. It does resonate at 3k rpm, so either go faster or crank up the stereo.

First thing, if you are running a canister, round muffler, you're exhaust will be LOUD. Its like running a resonator only. Why do you think all of those Hondas sound like tey do w/ those "fart" cans?

I'm running a Injen short ram, DC Sports header, and a custom 2.25 inch catback exhaust w/ a Magnaflow muffler, and resonated tip. It doesn't resonated in the interior cabin like some systems do that use 14 inch glass pack mufflers for resonators, and isn't loud since I'm not using a 5 or 6 inch round muffler that has a 4 inch core.

But then again, I'm sure some exhaust "expert" will chime in on how wrong my information is.

personaly i don't care how loud my car is... to me the louder it is the more heads i get to turn and look at my box... im using the two stock cats in a row on the car but after that its all free flow from there... my exhaust is nice... its not raspy and its deep tone... but if the headers are gonna push me over the laws limits im gonna have to find a way to resonate the exhaust without adding anything to block my flow

There's only one cat. and use a glasspack as a resonator to quiet it down if the header makes it too loud.
