Looking to change the color of my DG RPF1's this summer and was looking to see what powder coat color you all liked. Here is what I am interested in.

What color is your ride?

My ride is BSP (Black Sand Pearl). My RPF1's are currently Matte Black, in 17x8.5 +30 offset. I am leaning towards Gunmetal for the metallic flake look, but I would like some opinions.

I'd say bronze or gold but within your choices, can't go wrong with either, IMO.

Go bronze. I just got bronze rims. Not enough people with BSP and bronze yet.

I was thinking of doing something like that, but I don't want a crazy bright color... just think that is meant for drift cars lol... I want to keep it clean and simple, which is why my colors I am deciding between aren't that extreme. I will have some bright "stand-out" calipers though once they are done!

yeah I'm liking gunmetal... but black chrome is a very close second.

I like the idea of glow in the dark, but I'd bet that the effect has a finite life time.

I'm still thinking purple though.

In my opinion gold would be sick but would be a little played out. Black chrome would look sick but then people will just think they are the SBC version.

It says it continuously glows actually. And it better at $6 an ounce! Takes roughly 2 lbs to do a set of wheels. That is $192 for 2 lbs. I haven't done a set in a while, so I could be slightly off, but still!

I meant that over time, the compounds that cause it glow would break down and the product would cease to glow even after all day in the sun.

Purple on a black ride will look nasty. You need a lighter color to balance out the contrast. Purple on white looks nice but not purple on black.

that one is nice! I want to experiment with adding flakes to the powders, that would be cool.

On the candy purple, it is a topcoat and whatever you use as the first/base coat can show through. So a nice silver metallic would look good underneath the candy purple. I don't know if it would look as good as that one, although purple isn't my color lolz.
