Manuel, I would find out what is the RMS on the subs. Remember they are DVC (Dual Voice Coils) So if they are RMS at 600, they are actual 1,200 watts. Man, you are trying to go deaf aren't ya. Oh I know what it is? Since you know what I am runnin, you wanna beat huh? J/K :o

Your SUBs are a discontinued model. But you can never go wrong with JLs especially when brand spanking new. Here is a link http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/pdfs/12W3_MAN.pdf. Do some research check it out. Check some forums. But my opinion is, you never want to over power your subs with a high powered amp. Even though JLs can take the beating but not for life. I think you should check out some amps by HiFonics or Orion. Those should be suitible. Especially since they since those subs are in your price range. What? did i hear EBAY?

Well, let's see where do I begin . . . You may consider your friend "hooking" you up with just problems. Those are Dual 6ohm Coiled subs. Unless you find an amp that will run 1.5 ohms stable, or sacrifice lots of power runing those things at 6ohms you better get the dual 4's or dual 2's ohm. Another solution to properly running the subs would be getting a third jl sub at 6ohm, which will allow you to run 4ohms or 1ohms. If not then you will be running dirty power that will be variable and not at all what the amps were intended to do. This is a gernalization. say you keep the two subs as is. This is not exact math or anything that may apply universally, but you have a 1000watt amp at 4 ohms. you run those subs at 6ohms. The actual power you will recieve would be approx 660 wats, not 1000, since the ohm ratting is higher. 6ohm's is more for 3 subs applications, that's all I'm trying to let you know about. Good luck! Try www.zapco.com , www.lunaramplifiers.com , www.usamps.com , http://www.cbrstereo.com/index.asp?P...OD&ProdID=1012 For amps.

how bout a directed d2400 plenty of power, good price, and it's stable. but like fixtion said your best bet is to get a 3rd sub so it will bring the load down to 1ohm.

get another w3 and get an ED Nine.1 www.edesignaudio.com great amps warranteed. $350 for 1200 watts at 13.5 volts, which means at minimum 1200 watts. Great look, great amps.

hifonics 1500d or 1000d are both good also, i own the 1500 and like it. it is a budget amp, however.

even if you don't get a third w3 then the nine.1 is still a solid amp with a three year warantee. and sexy too

Well it looks like either the Hifonics 1000w or 500/1 JL...would the Hifonics be a good one to split 2 subs on? The JL would be nice but are kinda expensive...still looking for a cheap one
