Looking for new tires
so im lookin for new tires cause i hate the stock tires they dont grip very well and etc....im lookin for decent tires performance tires that grip very well in the dry pavement as well wet pavement and good for snow and stuff.........any one have any good recommendations on tires or links to buy them at....cause i been lookin for awhile now and having a bit truoble finding the right ones
I recently got Kumho ecsta asx's and have been using them for about 2,000 miles now. They are very good for daily use and perform well in spirited driving. In dry and wet conditions they seam to do very well although I live in socal so I can't say anything about how they do in snow.
toyo proxes 4, i love those all season.. very nice dry and wet but heard it doesnt do very well in snow. I currently have dunlop direzza z1, excellent dry traction and does well on wet too
go to treadepot.com. They do have great prices on tires. And their add says they will price match. So far I havnt seen any tires less anywhere else. Im buying tires any day now and im getting them from these guys.
for what it's worth, my stockies went really bad the last few weeks with only 26,400 on the clock. kept going sideways in the rain.... not fun.
i was looking for weeks on what to get, and finally got some general altimax hp's from tire rack. $88 a piece if i recall correctly. ordered them monday morning, and they were at my house tuesday morning with standard shipping.
i had them installed this past wednesday, and i can't believe the difference! they make me really enjoy driving my car again. it feels like its floating when going down the road, and they grip pretty darn well too.
the reason i went with the generals is because i wanted a tire that was all season and that would last a good long while. these have 55k warranty, and some really good reviews on tire rack.
just my .02, and good luck!

I ended up buying General Exclaim UHPs for my box. Never even considered a General tire until I read the reviews on Tirerack.com. I'm glad I did. They stick like glue in the wet and dry handling blows away the OEM tires that came on the XB.
What the heck - it says we can put 235's and even 245's on the tC? Is this a missprint?
