Default Oil Replacement after Turbo Install...

I broke down and ordered the Descendant Turbo Kit, whoa! Can't wait but question, I hear the oil that come with the Scion's is a synthetic blend and is pretty good.

Should I just get the same oil from the dealership and replace it with their or go full synthetic?

Betty is gonna finally get boosted!

use synthetic, and since your turbo-ing it i suggest oil change every 2000-2500 miles, to keep things running smoothly.

Ive heard horror stories of 5000K oil changes on Evos and STi's not good

places like http://toyotapartszone.com

sell a synthetic blend, since i live basically 3 hours away from a toyota dealerships. this is my only option haha

You are going to wear out the spark plug holes changing them that often!

but if your gonna change every 3000, why not the synthetic blend? is this a preference or necessity?

synthetic is more stable and less likely to break down, keeps lubrication good and prevents gunk build up. I change oil around 2500K miles. but yeah go full synthetic

Yeah thats totally not necessary Cory. If youre 1 step colder change every 15-20k.

synthetic 10w40 or mobil 1 10w30. Change every 2000ish miles (what i did). Nothing like draining oil that looks brand new. (a waste but priceless for ease of mind)
