I have been told that there are a few people out there with this problem. I didn't notice it until I put some lowering springs on my XB.

I liked the look of the dropped ride, but thought that putting spacers on the rear wheels would bring them to the edge of the wheel well for a better look, so I put them on. Here is what I found out.

passenger side, wheel is flush with the bodywork, with the spacer.
driver side...the wheel is actually another 5mm inside the wheel well. We looked at it from various angles, and finally determined that the driver side rear wheel sits further in than the passenger side.

I told my Toyota dealership about this. They said that hadnt seen it, but to call Scion to let them know about it and see if anyone else has this issue.

Anyone out there get the same thing?

So, does that mean to get the drivers' rear side to match flush like the passenger rear side with the body a spacer would only be needed on that side (drivers) 5MM in this particular case..?

Was there any difference with the front drivers being different as well?

If that is the case then, would there be any issues with this, alignment or otherwise?

when we met at gabe's last week, I looked at everyone else's xB, and they were all like that. I'm not sure if the rear axle is supposed to be designed ike that, or if its a design flaw. my xB still tracks like it should.

You know what, I noticed this on my car as well--a few weeks ago, but I didn't want to say anything about it if I was the only one with the issue.

It's pretty obvious if you are looking for the difference...I don't know what's up with that, but at least there is more than just me who has the issue.

We will notify Scion next week since it's pretty common to all Scions I've seen. Can't really notice it when the xB is on stock height with stock rims but once you put some aftermarket wheels it's noticeable.

It didn't bother me but it's time to let Scion know about this flaw.

i dont think its possible for the rear to be misaligned. don't we have a solid axle in the back?

i noticed that on matt's ride... :shock: didnt kno everybody has the same issue
