unseen 02-08-2005, 09:00 PM im waiting on aem cold air. sorry i could not be of more help.
flint_tC 02-08-2005, 10:29 PM alot of places seem to sell this intake I am gonna wait until Aftermarket companies start producing legit ones...prices will go down....that looks basically homemade.
flint_tC 02-08-2005, 10:31 PM just noticed that site sells a flame throwe kit as well.....thats a red flag for quality haha :D

Dude seriously I don't knw who you are but you really need to think before you type. Its a very legit company. let me guess you want AEM or something like that? Your paying for the name man. Id rather, but a product that puts out more for less.
duston831 02-09-2005, 04:56 AM so the dyno that they have for that intake seems legit?
i really could care less about the namebrand, as long as im at least getting some extra power from the intake

Yes very legit. I talked to them.
duston831 02-09-2005, 08:20 PM one more thing, if i get that intake and the injen axle back exhaust, would the injen make up for the loss of low end power from the intake?

Hey man, no not really axle back isn't really give u anything except sound. You want full performance go Cat-back. If you look at the dyno man, you can notice you really dont loose much or any at all low end.
tOMAINOcAR 02-14-2005, 05:50 AM I think the intake looks legit, but $229 is kinda steep. The dyno plot may be true but it all depends on the dyno used since each type is different and some read higher than others. Not to mention the car in the picture has a header on it so it makes me wonder if thats the car used for the dyno.
f1nch 02-14-2005, 06:33 AM for the difference b/w short ram and CAI the 1-2 hp is really no big deal im gonna order my short ram tomorrow...removing the cats and headers will net u some decent power.....but even changing the stock muffler for the mean time like i did will make a differnce u can feel so...hmm ....maybe i should wait...damn.... nevermind! :nope:

Lol dude the dyno with just the intake has just that, then there is a seperate dyno for the one with headers and Intake. lol
Well I'll let you all knw since Im purchasing their Intake(SR) HEader and Tb. Ill dyno and post it up. If the dyno is different then the site is full of ____, but its not my money so I don't care.
Beantowntc 02-14-2005, 05:25 PM must be nice....lol
lootyman 02-15-2005, 03:18 AM i usually say that about other people's money! :silly:
you're silly dude. must be your mom's money???
it's pretty easy for scammers to throwing crap on the market for us power hungry tC owners who want to fly for cheap.
my recommend you stay cool for a while and give the after market time to create some quality products. THEEEEEEN wait for some reviews.
just be cool, enjoy your tC. it's a sweet ride.

Once again you have the non-thinking people of the forum. No its not my mommys money! I really hate when people make stupid assumptions like that.
Its my friends money who owes me for a my nitrous kit I installed on his car. Hey, like I said, wouldn't you rather have someone else spend the money to make sure its legit then lose your own?
Balbo04 02-16-2005, 05:51 AM figures are gonna very depending on how good the run is and the conditions but to be honest the gain seems huge for that i would think that somethign else is on there with it..... custom intakes can get good results.....it might be worth it to just go name-brand so good luck.....if you get it fill us in

if he owes you money for services you provided, isnt that technically your money?
just wondering.
KYBoy 02-16-2005, 06:08 AM i want that header, looks sweet. wonder if it throws a CEL. probably does.

lootyman 02-16-2005, 01:42 PM everyone saying the headers are throwing CELs.
i've heard a few sound clips of intake/header/exhaust and that shizz is loud!
as much as i want to squeeze the most out of my Chief Sakion (iron chef anyone?) i can't stand to roll in a loud @$$ ride.
slowpoke, you're deluded. when someone owes you money, that does make it yours. sorry for the mommy joke, she must have just sprung for the car, huh?

Techincally no. Like I said its his money. No unlike you my mommy didn't buy my car. And seriously why is everyone whining about throwing a CEL.
Anyways the gains are really not that suignificant, Imo I would say it just means our tC's are very restrictive? Im excitied to see how the project turns out, fir anyone who is w8in for my results just plz be patient.
lootyman 02-16-2005, 09:44 PM :silly: aaaah, you kill me slowpuke.
enough about moms...so the joke goes.
i gotta agree, nothing i've seen is really worth the money so far. $200 for an intake that gives me 5 hp and kills my starting line torque...no thanks.
i guess i'm not hardcore enough to ride with the CEL on. my biggest problem with that is when a real problem does occur, i don't knoow any differently and just keep driving around like always! :lalala: might as well slap some nail polish on me and a set of high heels on me.
i like what you said about our cars cars not being restrictive. i think we get a good balance out of box, there must be room to make that 2.4 roar. otherwise we all got hosed on an overweight chunk of iron.

he he true!
duston831 02-16-2005, 10:38 PM according to the intake/dyno i posted, it adds about 8hp and doesnt effect low end power
lootyman 02-17-2005, 01:28 AM thanks for pointing that out duston.
to me, $200 is right at the point where i don't mind spending it if i get something, but if it don't its enough to ____ me off. just know that dynos are not 'all-telling' and each is different. the only REAL way to know is to get the dang thing! if its suckier than the mail tube at the Empire State Building in Elf, spount off on the forum and we'll be all the wiser. me, i'm gonna hold off for a while on the intake/header gig. turbo may in the future for me and mine.
happy shopping.

Yea okay I agree. Like dustin said and you replied the intake does not loose low end tq.
The whole CEL thing kills me with everyone! I mean maybe im just ignorant, but Ive been in multiple cars that have thrown CELs and there years old. Its not a problem at all.
Totaling in at $900 for the Intake StgII, HEader, And TB is not that bad.
And if the ____ sucks then lol it sucks!
oldman 02-17-2005, 04:10 PM Um low end torque loss from the intake in general maynot show on a dyno which is a full throttle pull most times starting at 3000 RPM, but will show on the street at low throttle settings off idle where people spend MOST of their time.
duston831 02-17-2005, 04:33 PM as far as dynos are concerned (assuming they're all accurate, or pretty close), im pretty sure this is the best performing intake at the moment, considering k&n gives about 6 and loses some torque, and a dyno of the final weapon r being sold is no where to be found, im probably going to order it in the next couple of days unless something better comes along.
lootyman 02-17-2005, 06:33 PM cool man, go for it!
be sure to let us know how it goes for you.
i just ate lunch with a bunch of 'vette heads and my gears are churning for some more power. i hope its a good product. i'm itchin for some sweet sweet speed.
plz keep us posted
UCSDPinoy 02-17-2005, 11:13 PM Which would be a better deal... This intake at $229, or the Weapon R Secret Intake for $180 :tap:
duston831 02-17-2005, 11:31 PM Which would be a better deal... This intake at $229, or the Weapon R Secret Intake for $180 :tap:
Considering all the changes that have had to be done with the weapon r, and the fact that no one can put up a dyno for it??????? id say the intake for $229
