So im about to order the TWM 2 and im 100% sure im going to get the cage raisers from Doc I. The Q is, should i order both the Base and Cage bushing from TWM or should i just order the Cable bushing along with the raisers and not even get the Base bushing from TWM???

I just want my shifting to feel smooth and soft(not so stiff) if that kinda helps...

 

Doesnt matter you can mix and match companies nothing will happen. same ____ in the end.

Doc I, just because he's a great guy with a great product. Money is better put into the hand of a small business vs a huge company.

 

You should just buy the shifter from Doc as well ;)

 

Doc's stuff is the best, my TWM shifter took a dump on me, I will never buy anything from them ever again, get everything from DOC I, you will not regret it.

Engifineer is right, post that shifter in classified and pick up Doc I's product!

 

There have been some (I think CC was one.. TWM may have had the issue too. not sure) that were manufactured with the pivot ball a bit too small. This allowed too much slop in the assembly.

Doc makes his from stock shifters by moving the pivot ball to shorten the throw and cutting the shifter down if needed to reduce height. So proper fitment of the pivot is a given.

 

lol....I should have been more specific, like engifineer said, the pivot ball was made too small, so the shifter stick eventually started to loosen and would turn inside the ball, it was very uncomfortable shifting sometimes when the shifter was in the wrong position, hope that makes sense, he he...

 

Trying to wiggle it with the ball in the wrong position can be very uncomfortable.....

 

haha makes scence now i have not had one issue with my twm very interesting tho

 

My problem started when I was tightening my shift ****, I guess I turn it too hard and that's when it started coming loose.
